Love it! Hope it lasts.
Just got it a few days ago. It's truly great. It's the first time I've tried one with such fine mesh, and also doesn't leak coffee grounds. I use regular grind. I do a pour-over method. I don't use paper filters any more. I don't use anything that has plastic. For now it fits my tall glass coffee mug, although it's a bit too large for a mug. But works ok, until I buy a nice glass carafe -- almost typed giraffe. Yes, indeed, I pour-over a giraffe to get my morning cup of coffee. What? Wait, I'm lost! Oh never mind. Back to... After each use I give it (the filter, not the carafe nor the giraffe) a hot soapy rinse, and a hot water rinse, shake it and set it upside down to air dry. (But how do you shake a giraffe and set it upside down to air dry? I'll tell you in some other review. Or not.)Later: It's been through the dishwasher just fine, so you can forget about having to set a giraffe upside down to air dry. Just use your dishwasher. But you can tell your friends you've got a Gator in your dishwasher. Won't they be impressed. That, or backing away slowly and never speaking to you again.Helpful suggestion for our planet: If you can buy loose coffee beans and purchase them in your own washable cloth bag and grind them yourself in a stainless steel grinder, you will have bypassed not only filters and plastic, but also all trash and pollution, with the exception of used coffee grounds--which are good for your soil, worm farm, other things, and an all-natural decomposition. A win-win-win-win for you and the planet. Every little bit we do to stop pollution makes a big difference, especially if a lot of people do this. Provided coffee plantations pay good wages and don't abuse their workers.

Quality with good brew
I have been using this daily and it works well. The speed of the liquid varies based on your grind used. Clean up is easy. Flip upside down in the sink and rinse. You may notice comments about the screen coming apart and I think people are scrubbing. There is no way the screen will peel if you don't scrub, use a sponge, etc. It's coffee grounds, it doesn't need a wash, just a rinse.

Perfect Coffee Every Time
A long time ago, over thirty years a friend made a cup of coffee for me using a funnel filter similar to a Coffee Gator. It was the best cup of coffee in my life, and I was instantly addicted. The problem, I had no way of acquiring one of these coffee funnel filters for myself. Imagine me going through over thirty years of my life, a frustrated coffee drinker? Then one day Amazon came along. I found out I could type in a description of anything I wanted to buy, and Amazon could put it at my fingertips. I didn’t have to drive through traffic, look for parking places going from store to store. The best part; I didn’t have to feel embarrassed dealing with sales people, trying to explain what I’m looking for. The whole time I get answers like, “Oh a coffee funnel filter, right over on this isle.” And there I stand, looking at brand after brand of paper funnel shaped coffee filters, very frustrating. There’s something amazing about Amazon; I can just type in what I’m looking for, I don’t even need to know the right name for the product. And Amazon’s software somehow knows exactly what I’m trying to find. I don’t know how it works, it’s like the pleasant side of artificial intelligence. So one day I managed to think of my friend’s coffee funnel filter thing while I was logged on Amazon. And I typed it, stainless steel coffee funnel filter. And up came a picture of a Coffee Gator, my quest for perfect coffee was finished. I ordered my Coffee Gator, and I’ve been such a satisfied coffee drinker ever since. The best part of a Coffee Gator, it’s so simple. I can consistently enjoy a perfect cup of coffee, anytime I want it. The cup of coffee I made six years ago, is exactly the cup of coffee I can make today. Everything’s on the outside on a Coffee Gator, the whole operation is transparent. I never have to wonder if anything crawled up in my coffee machine and died. I store my Coffee Gator in a zip lock bag, with a crumbled up white paper towel. To absorb any excess moisture, and help prevent calcification. Every three to six months I heat up some coffee maker cleaner in a sauce pan. And soak my Coffee Gator over night to clean built up calcification, and coffee residue left behind after each cleaning. The next morning I run one - two quarts boiling hot water through the Coffee Gator to rinse out the coffee maker cleaner chemicals. I give my Coffee Gator a final washing with soap and water. The after running additional one - two quarters more hot water over the Coffee Gator, to ensure all the soapy water is out. I’m ready to make coffee with my newly cleaned Coffee Gator. When I finish making each cup of coffee, I like to clean my Coffee Gator in dish soap and water. After rinsing and drying my Coffee Gator, I use a little bit of spray air in a can. This helps dry water trapped in between filter layers. I never use bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or sanitary wipes to clean my Coffee Gator. I hope these little tips help any readers choose, and care for they’re own Coffee Gator. So we can all be a community of coffee lovers, always enjoying perfect coffee. I whole heartedly recommend all Coffee Gator Products!

This is our second one ! Great product!

Poor long-term quality
These work great at first but then all too quickly the handle slowly starts coming off and the inside seam starts peeling. Then the coffee starts filtering more and more slowly until the whole thing is basically unusable.

Good replacement
I ordered this as a replacement for the original that came with my pour over. I LOVE all of my gator coffee stuff. The only issue I have is that the bottom piese separated. I haven't had the issue with this one yet, but from what I see it is a common problem.

Fits perfectly, nice flow
Old one got clogged, coffee took forever to drip. This one has a nice flow, I like the little tab on the top, too.

Wonderful for pour-over coffee
I’d been using a different pour-over setup but it was a little precarious and unreliable. This filter is excellent; paired with a good jug (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08LG69ZDK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 is very good), it makes a great brew. It is quite deep so if you want to fill your cup you’ll have to hold it up while the last of the water comes through.

Kaffeefilter macht was er soll

Mesh review
Thought the mesh may have proved awkward to wash. As long as you do it straight away, not a problem.Well made, impressed. .

A wee gem!
Just as fantastic as the other reviewers suggested. So easy to use and much better flavour than a cafetière. Great for coffee at work and home. Super easy to clean...scrape out grinds into compost bin then run under the tap!!! What’s not to like?
