Brilliant for mashing into sauces to thicken them up
This is a tin of 400g of chickpeas in water.They are very easy to use, just drain and add to a sauce, then let them simmer for 5 minutes or more. The longer you simmer the more easily they break apart.I used them in a chili and burrito mix. They are great for thickening a sauce without turning dry. There's not much flavour a slight nuttyness and sweetness if anything.They are very good value and packed with extra nutrition. So great if trying to. Great for Turkish-style rice pilaf and salads – delicious!I bought these chickpeas and use them when making Turkish-style rice pilaf, as well as in salads. They turn out really tasty and add a lovely texture and flavour to the dishes. Very happy with the quality. The only issue is that the grains are a bit small – we personally prefer larger, plumper chickpeas. Still, happy with the taste and quality.
