It's made for balloons, but I use it to expand hose/tubing. It's not strong enough for large/stiff tubing, but works well for smaller stuff. Very clever mechanism that expands the tube in 4 directions, not 2. Wish they made a stronger version

Used these to open balloons to put baking soda and vinegar in for science experiments…. Works perfect! Can’t wait to use it to try and put our family elf in a balloon next! My only complaint is there should be silicone or something on the prongs so it’s less likely to put a hole in balloons. They are slightly sharp.

Regrettably, the current design of this tool presents a significant operational limitation. The prongs, as currently configured, lack the necessary length to adequately expand the balloon's neck. This deficiency restricts the tool's effectiveness, as it only engages the balloon's rim, failing to create sufficient opening for the introduction of contents. Consequently, the tool's utility is severely compromised.
