I have pustular rosacea and needed a sulfur soap to help shed the patchy skin, combat bacteria, and reduce inflammation. This bar works very well for that! I don’t know if it actually reduced inflammation but it did make my face less red right after using it. It wasn’t too drying if I applied moisturizer right after. The smell was like sulphur but not like a skunk, and it disappeared after a short time. My face looked so bad I was willing to tolerate the smell for relief. I later had to move to a rx sulfur soap because an ingredient in this bar was slightly occlusive and aggravated two pustules. My rosacea has an acneiform component to it, so I think whatever fat or oil is in this plus moisturizer plus sunscreen was too heavy for me. I really like this product and will use it once my skin is more calm because the rx sulfur soap isnt covered by insurance so this would be more cost effective.

Scent & Lather The scent is exactly what you’d expect from sulfur—it reminds me of the natural sulfur smell in some Southern well water (like parts of South Carolina or Florida). It’s not my favorite scent, but it’s very manageable and absolutely worth it considering how well it works. The bar produces a rich, smooth lather and rinses clean. Final Thoughts If you struggle with tinea versicolor or recurring fungal-type skin issues, I highly recommend this soap. After years of searching for a solution, this has truly been the only product that completely resolves the problem for me. I will continue purchasing it long-term because nothing else has come close in effectiveness.

Bought this to help with dry spots on my face and scalp. It works well, but it has a powerful Sulphur scent. I use this soap for a good scrub, and then have to go back with body wash to rinse of the smell. It does help with my skin though.

If you have oily skin or cystic acne this is a game changer. DO IT!

The soap doesn't smell like anything and I couldn't smell any sulfur so I was worried it wouldn't work. I used it on my body, not my face since my face is super sensitive. Since the start of summer I've been having these painful pimples or bumps under my hairline on the back of my neck and wouldn't respond to salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, even hypochlorous acid spray. The day after using the soap the bumps were basically gone. The day after that and they were completely gone and haven't come back since I've used it daily. I guess that means it was fungal folliculitis. I have some bumps on my scalp too but ordered some nizoral for that.

It’s okay. I really did not see any difference or improvement in my skin since using this, other than it seems to make my skin very dry. I use it a couple of times a week. It’s too drying to use daily. The sulfur smell is there, but not overly offensive. I was hoping this would help with my sudden breakouts, but I guess not.

I love this soap. It is a good soap, my skin feels nice afterwards. It also comes wrapped in plastic, to ensure the integrity of the soap. Probably a mixed feeling for die-hard environmentalists.
