I rave about this product. It is a must have in the winter months. As soon as any of my family start to feel poorly we make sure we use it.

This is very effective. But, note that you can't use it more than 90 days so it's not a repeat order solution for persistent blocked sinuses.

I admittedly use far too much nasal spray, due to a very narrow bridge and nostrils. Any irritation at all just causes complete blockage... I'm sure some of you can relate if you're here! I had to order the Soother Sinex spray due to the original being out of stock, and basically this 'Soother' version of the Sinex nasal spray works fine, with the same Oxymetazoline hydrochloride active ingredient as the original. However, they have removed the menthol and replaced it with Oloe Vera which makes the original Sinex spray FAR more effective at unblocking your nose, opening the sinuses and feeling instant relief. I found I used a LOT more of this Soother than the original to get a similar relief... And it's not cheap. Maybe if you have sore and enflamed nostrils and the menthol irritates you or overly stings, I'm sure this is preferable but definitely wouldn't be my first choice purely for unblocking your nose and keeping it unblocked.

I’ve been using Vicks Sinex sprays for a while now and tried the Soother version alongside the Micromist. On paper the active ingredients are the same, but in practice there are some key differences. The Soother uses a standard spray rather than a fine mist. It does eventually clear congestion, but in my experience it takes longer to kick in than the Micromist and it’s not as sharp or effective on its own. The added aloe vera does make it feel The bottle itself lasts longer than the Micromist, mainly because the spray isn’t as fine so you use less per dose. That sounds like a positive until you look at the price. Vicks seem to know this one stretches further and often charge up to £2 more for it, which cancels out the benefit. For what it delivers, it ends up costing and performing about the same as some supermarket own-brand sprays. Overall, this is a very average nasal spray. Personally, I find the best approach is to use it together with the Micromist. The Micromist gives the quick hit I need, while the Soother helps keep things steady over time. But on its own, it’s fairly standard and that’s why it only earns 3 stars.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Not much to say about this one except that it really works. I have terrible colds when my nose gets congested and my face swells, eyes tear up, and in the end I struggle to breathe. The spray opens up the nasal passages within a few minutes. You might sneeze a bit but that's all. It's super useful especially at night when you lie down and the nose gets totally blocked. Not anymore. You can breathe and sleep without any problems.
