Good product

Nice item, seems well-made, works well and should last a few years if treated kindly, well packed with a safe delivery, not too big or heavy. However this item has a major problem; the weighing dish is too small, a bit scary if you are weighing flour for a large loaf. No, I do not want to weigh too lots, I replace the dish with the larger plastic dish from my previous battery item. So much better . A bigger dish is required : still a good buy and no batteries.

I bought these scales because I wanted something manual rather than relying on digital scales and batteries and so far I’m really pleased with them. The quality is good, particularly the metal bowl, which feels sturdy and well made rather than cheap or flimsy. The bowl is a useful size and is easy to remove and put back into place. The scales appear to be accurate, giving consistent measurements when weighing ingredients. I also like how easy it is to adjust them back to zero using the small adjustment dial at the top. It’s easily accessible and particularly useful when adding more ingredients to the same bowl. The numbers are clear and easy to read and the scales themselves are straightforward to use, clean and store away. They are not heavy to move at all. The only thing worth being aware of is that the measurements are marked in 20g increments, so they’re not ideal if you need to weigh very small quantities or measure ingredients precisely below that amount. Overall, I’m really happy with these scales. They’re practical, feel well made and do exactly what I wanted without needing batteries.

These are well made scales that are very practical - that is, easy to keep clean. They look especially well if you like a vintage vibe.

My previous very modern sleek minimalist digital scales looked very smart & classy - but I had difficulty reading the figures and difficulty seeing whether it was in metric mode or imperial mode as it could swap between the two. This one is larger & bulkier but very clear to see both weight modes at the same plus easy to weigh things. I am happy with this purchase.
