Peace of mind
I gave my used 2008 Kawasaki KLR650 tuneup over the Labor Day weekend and installed this magnetic oil plug as a prevention tool in case of any metal shavings in the crank case as the bike ages. I wanted Tusk brand as they have a good reputation and quality. The plug uses a 6mm Allen wrench instead of the stock bolt and is low profile to keep it from damage when going over obstacles. I hope the magnet never has need to catch something metal inside the oil but I have peace of mind with it installed. The only drawback is that you will need to use specialty tools to get the manufacturers torque rating.

Great product, but I would use a copper crush washer instead of the one supplied
Great product. I love Tusk, and I buy their brand pretty often. My only complaint is that this should come with a copper crush washer. Weird place to cheap out, uncharacteristic of the brand. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

it's low profile
I was asked to review this low profile oil drain plug a little early. well here we go. this thing replaces the oem part. it looks great in the factory packaging considering I haven't had to change my oil yet. lol. it's a tusk part so it should be good. looks like it came with a hard washer and not a Crush Washer or nylon washer. this is a new bike for me so I don't even know what the OEM part uses for a washer. I don't normally do early reviews cuz what the heck you supposed to know what you're talking about right, so this to review should work out perfectly. just don't insult the part, the manufacturer, Amazon, or the seller
