So far, this is exactly what I was looking for and it was super easy to install. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to figure it out and wouldn't be able to install it without help or power tools, but the process was so easy, and there's even a video to help with installation and programming! Trust me...if me and my friend could figure it out, you can too. I primarily wanted this model because I knew I did not want a 'smart' lock but wanted features that made this lock easy to use. The ability to program multiple codes is amazing, and the fingerprint is so convenient. (Note: Make sure you only program fingerprints that you trust to have access to your home at all times. To delete a fingerprint you have to scan that fingerprint again) The auto lock feature is great, so when my hands are full and I'm headed out the door, it is fast and locks itself right up. I got the silver and it looks very elegant and polished. I will update this review if anything changes, but so far am very pleased!

I used this lock to replace the deadbolt on my front door to my apartment. I live in highrise apartment building downtown and have frequent guests and visitors. I’ve had this lock for over a year. It’s great, a wonderful product. From the first day my fingerprint was programmed into the lock and I use that feature 99% of the time when unlocking. Outside of my finger being wet a few times the lock has identified and unlocked within 1-2 seconds. I’ve used the auto lock feature at various intervals and not at all. I’ve used the code feature for at least 10 different friends and never experienced any issues with their access. It really has been an awesome product. So much so that I just bought it again. On New Year’s Eve I found myself taking out the trash and upon return, expecting the auto lock feature to have locked the door I placed my finger on the lock and no lights no sounds nothing happened. Never needing a key I’d long quit taking my keys with me to run errands or take out the trash. I remembered thinking last couple times used the lock did make a weird sound and seemed to be acting strange. Well moral of the story is that was the locks low battery alert feature letting me know time to replace the batteries. I did not. Without power the fingerprint and code options don’t work. without the key that function isn’t possible to open the door. It was New Year’s Eve and that locksmith got $250 out of me for 10 seconds worth of drilling. Criminal. First thing I did was order this lock again (another $50). Just saying pay attention to the lock and replace batteries when it indicates or could be costly mistake. great lock though string solid doesn’t feel cheap. oh install wasn’t terrible either.

*I’m increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars because the company reached out to me and apologized for the problems I was having. First they offered a refund, then ignored that offer, sent a new unit instead. If they had provided the refund they initially offered I would have given 5 stars for excellent customer service in standing by their product. I would suggest to the company not to offer a refund then ignore it! I do consider myself lucky though to even get a replacement unit since I was well beyond the 30 day return window. So many others weren’t so lucky. Hopefully this new unit will perform better! ———————— This was great at first. It seems well made, is fairly easy to install (but we have done quite a few in the past), looks good, has simple controls and clear, easy to press manual buttons. But it locks way too fast and we have tried making the waiting time longer but it always seems to reset back to the minimum which is like five seconds, and the sequence of codes you have to enter to program this thing are ridiculous. If we don’t immediately close the door it will go crazy trying to lock over and over. It’s so annoying. It should have a bypass button, especially when you’re going to be in and out a lot working in the yard, etc. I was going to buy another one for our other door but not now. I want to note that we haven’t experienced the battery issues so many other reviewers have mentioned, and we’ve never been locked out due to malfunction!

Sick of fumbling for keys, or waiting for the person with the key so you can get in? This is the answer! Easy to fit in place of existing lock, and 5 minutes to set up pass codes and finger prints. Now I need one for the back door!! Highly recommend

I now have four of these locks installed on various buildings around the property. It has made keeping buildings locked and easily opened much easier. No more arriving at a building to find it locked and not having my keys with me (which was happening a lot). Installation is a breeze, as is the programming of the lock codes. Battery life is amazing as it only uses power when you are actuating the lock. My fist version did not have the fingerprint reader, but has been outstanding at providing security and easy access. Being able to set multiple codes, and a one time use code can be very useful. In the past before the keypad locks were installed, when home I would leave all auxiliary buildings unlocked, then when going to town or away from the property for any length of time, I would go around and lock all the buildings. Hence finding myself without keys when trying to access a building upon return. Now, I just keep everything locked all the time and use my fingerprint to unlock the buildings as needed. The security and convenience of these locks can not be overrated. I can highly recommend this product. The packaging, manuals and support are very professional.
