Great DVR! Replacing an older unit by another brand which had failed. Our existing cameras plugged straight in and setting up was easy except one thing - the default HDMI output signal a resolution not compatible with our older “hd ready” tv. It took a bit of effort to fix this - managed to get the unit working on another tv in the house, then changed the HDMI signal output resolution via the on screen menu, then plugged it back into the older TV. A fist pump moment when the signal came through! Setting up was easy, given all network and camera connections were already in place. I purchased a separate hard drive to use with the Annke for the brands rated reliability for dvr’s (WD Purple HDD) - as was not sure which brand came pre-installed and hard drive reliability is a concern after 2 had failed over the years on the old machine. Installing the HDD is easy - just needed a screwdriver. Once the easy menu set up was completed, the quality of the recording, plus the feature of selecting “camera zones” for motion detection (fantastic feature), were all above expectation! The whole family commented on the recording clarity (especially compared to the previous unit). The app is really easy too and worth it alone for peace of mind when away from home. Telling all family and friends about this machine - it’s worth every penny.

My review is based on 2 days of using this NVR after which I returned it for reasons nothing to do with the product. My old Hikvision NVR stopped working recently. I assumed the HDD had failed, so sent for a new one, but this did not solve the problem, so I thought it must be the NVR itself. I sent for the Annke NVR, put in the old HDD and to my surprise it worked fine. I hooked up the Annke box to my cameras, went through the user interface, and everything worked prefectly. The NVR detected all my cameras with no need for searching or putting in IP addresses.The clarity of CCTV images is perhaps not quite as good as the Hikvision NVR, but the interface and software are pretty much exactly the same, so clearly come from a common source. The only issue I found was the co-axial plugs at the back are a bit tight when connecting the camera leads. I then started wondering if the 12V plug-in power supply had failed, causing the problems with my initial NVR. I sent for a more powerful laptop power supply, reinstalled my old HDD in the Hikvision box, hooked it all up and it works! So it was the PSU that was the problem not the HDD, nor the NVR. Doh! So the Annke is surplus to requirements, (and the replacement HDD) but if you are looking for an NVR and have a hard drive, this is very good value and very easy to set up and use. Recommended.

I spend much time away from home so CCTV provides a sense of security so when I finally decided to buy a more comprehensive system this package ticked all the boxes. I bought the SANNCE DVR with optional Hard drive, PTZ Camera and the luxury PTZ controller keyboard/joystick. (I say luxury because you can operate the camera from the DVR - If you have several PTZ cameras then the joystick is an advantage - Most of my cameras are static and can be linked easily to the DVR) Yes it does take some setting up and I'm a software engineer! The instructions as pointed out by another user are limited. However there are many on-line guides. My conclusion: I think it's an awesome bit of kit for the money, it easily connected to the internet allowing me to view four cameras by remote and that is fantastic - (See attached image) I did have a minor software issue and the Chinese IT support were very helpful. (You do need to be patient baring in mind the time difference and not to colourful in your description) 10/10 Superb!!!

Quiet and easy to set up, Annke vision app is very convenient to see cameras and the quality is good.
