Can last about 1 hour depending on where you put your hand warmer, size and ambient temperature.

mine seem hard to snap. how easy is it to get the heat started?

try to get the silver piece in the corner and click and it will usually activate. hope that helps

How long to put in boiling water to recharge?

3-5 minutes. Put a towel on the bottom of the hand warmer to avoid damage.
