How well does the sleeve maintain its fit? I have another similar product, and it has stretched out over time.

I have had mine for over a year and love it. It does not slip on the pencil at all. The magnets really grip my iPad Pro well - strong enough that I can carry the iPad around the house with the pencil stuck to it and and no fear of losing the pencil. The sleeve makes the pencil much easier and more comfortable to hold.

Will it stick to the 2018 ipad (regular, not pro)?

That's what I have and it works great!! The pics in my review are on a 2018 iPad. (non-pro)
