While I enjoyed the book, the writing style was a bit too poetic for me. It took way to many words to 'paint the scene'.

Bought it used together with another book. Both came early and in good condition. This one just has a few highlighter markings but otherwise, still good. The highlighting reminds me when I was in high school doing a book report for this. Makes me smile remembering my teacher's questions and testings for this book lol

Tried this years ago and put it down. Maturity and life experience has brought this fine writing, vivid word pictures, unpredictable plot and the historical significance of this relatively short book into clear enjoyable focus for me.
