POWERME Battery-Operated Electric Pencil Sharpener for Kids, School, Home, Office - for No. 2 Pencils and Colored Pencils

I'm a scientist and professor and, yes, I like old-school pencils (and am picky about them and sharpeners). Working at home one day, I said I missed the powerful and fast sharpener on campus. Knowing how cheap I am and that I would consider this a splurge (lol), my fam ordered this and we're very happy with it. Running on AC (electricity from an outlet), it definitely outperforms all battery-operated sharpeners. Even with an electrical cord, it's small and light enough to very easily move from room to room. Plus, no more batteries to buy or change! The repository for shavings is generously sized so emptying can be done infrequently. My children attend(ed) Montessori schools where high-quality pencils are the norm, colored pencils are used extensively, and pencil sharpening is a class job, and this sharpener also earns their approval. Shaving is symmetric and precise. Any down side? Hm, it's not whisper quiet, but that's normal. Great product for a super price. I should have gone wild & crazy sooner. 😉

I bought this to sharpen my fairly expensive soft wax (Prismacolor) and oil -based (Faber-Castell Polychromos) colored pencils. PERFECTION! Not a single lead has broken and all sharpen to a super fine and sharp point, although there is also an option on the sharpener for flatter points. Prismacolors in particular are noted for their cores breaking, but they have held up since I bought this several months ago. I ended by temporarily bed-ridden due to an accident and I spent a lot more time than usual coloring and doing art work. This sharpener was a life saver as it did not have to be plugged in and it sharpened everything quickly. I am still on the same batteries so it is long-lasting also. For best results, sharpen a few graphite pencils once in a while to rid the blade of colored pencil buildup.

I just love my PowerMe pencil sharpener! It was easy to find batteries for it, and the seller's use instructions were clear and accurate. I use pencils a lot, and I used to sharpen them at the public library. I ordered the PowerMe sharpener because the library has been closed during the COVID crisis. I'm so happy with the PowerMe pencil sharpener that now I wish I would have purchased one long ago. Right after I inserted the batteries, I sharpened dozens of dull pencils! It was amazingly quick and easy to get them super-sharp, and I was able to do that on the first try with every pencil! It's fun using this sharpener, and now when the pencil I'm using gets even slightly dull, I just stick it in the sharpener--and in one or two seconds, it's super sharp again! I also love the cute, sleek, compact appearance of this sharpener and the transparent side compartment that allows me to see how much it's filling up with pencil shavings. I considered many pencil sharpeners before choosing this one, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! I would recommend this pencil sharpener to anyone!

I love this pencil sharpener. It's small and compact, and Powerful. The plates are extremely Sharp and grind the pencil to a fine point within a matter of seconds. The only drawback is that if you're not paying attention the pencil sharpener will grind the pencil down to a nub. It would be nice if when the tip of the pencil reach the bottom and was sharp the pencil sharpener would automatically shut off but all in all it just took me a little bit of time to get used to when to pull the pencil out. Oftentimes I I am not after a needle sharp pencil but would rather have somewhat of a soft tip and that can be accomplished by placing the pencil in the sharpener just as the pencil strikes the blades for a few seconds and pulling it out. I really like the sharpener it's small and fits on my desk well. It's portable. And reliable

I had an older electric pencil sharpener that I bought several years ago that never seemed to accurately work. It would chew up half my pencils and I'd have to push the pencil in really hard to get half of a point....Then I bought this beauty! (cue Price Is Right Showcase music here). It's compact. It's light weight. It's portable. It's well built... AND It sharpens REALLY well! Holla... If you too are closet type A and ya know what I mean! I shuttle mine between two writing spaces. Yeah,Yeah, I know, It's JUST a pencil sharpener; but for one like myself, with multiple shades and boxes of colored pencils, (pardon me, my type A is showing) it's about 5 seconds of pencil sharpening happiness! 2018 style...not the 1970's old school desk top or wall mounted crank model...but I digress. Love this gadget! You will too! On another happy note, vendor customer service was awesome. The owner emailed me the day my product arrived to make sure shipping was quick and the product arrived in tact! UPDATE: So the battery life is FAB! Bought my first sharpener in Nov 2018...it's April 2019 people...I use this product at least 3 -4 times a day... and yeah...the reaction time is slow...but it still has power... Bought the second sharpener to have one in my craft room...because who wants to run up and down the stairs every time you want a fresh point :/ Now if you'll excuse me...my pencils are calling!

I was initially hesitant about purchasing this sharpener given what I thought was a high price, however I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance. I purchased my first one in August 2021 (then $18.88) for my own use, then another two Nov 3, 2022 ($17.99 each) to be given as gifts. The sharpening torque is excellent, quickly sharpening a new or dull pencil in a few seconds. Its small size enables it to be readily handy but out of the way. The one I bought over a year ago still works like the first day and have had only one battery change after several dozen uses. So a bit expensive, but in the end a quality product worth the price.

Mine actually destroyed every pencil I put in it, no matter how long or how much pressure or anything else I could do. How I wish I had had the time to return it --- I just came upon it again, thought I had thrown out in disgust. Hoping now that the problem was aberrhant, peculiar to mine only, the way the sharpener was placed or not straight or something, and that they will reach out and send me a new one, gratis.

It's hard to know which I like more; this wonderful little gem of a pencil sharpener or the company and folks that sell it. The sharpener itself is just exactly what I was looking for; small enough to not take up a lot of room on my desk area, but yet powerful enough to do the job. No lagging at all when sharpening pencils and relatively quiet while doing so, all for a really great price! Hard to believe it is battery operated! LOVE IT and it surpasses all my expectations. Love the nice blue color also. Quality product and it has a nice weight to it. I know this sounds over the top for a simple thing like a pencil sharpener, but sometimes it's hard to find a simple thing to do what you need it to do without an issue. The company / seller is one of the best I have shopped with at Amazon or anywhere else for that matter. IF only the HUGE corporations would take the interest and care in customer service the way this seller does, shopping would be a better experience. I can't say enough about this new company and I wish them continued success. With caring customer service like they have shown me, I know they will go to the top. Great experience all around. I received my order on time. The pencil sharpener not good, very noisy and not sharping good .. I don't recommend it
