Aquanil Cleanser Gentle Soapless Lipid-Free, 16 oz (Pack of 2)

UPDATE 10/19/17: I called Person & Covey, the makers of Aquanil, and they told me that lot #H581 was a bad batch due to inconsistency of the mix of ingredients. It turns out that both my first order through Amazon and my second order through DermaStore were both from lot # H581 (see lot # on bottom of bottle). The customer service representative offered to send me a replacement of all six bottles, which replaced my entire order from Dermastore. I just received the new bottles today, which are lot #H646, and they are the correct formula that I know and love. I'm so glad that I called before giving up. I wrongly assumed that the formula had changed. I hope that helps anyone else that has gotten the bad batch. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have loved and used Aquanil Cleanser on my sensitive skin for almost 30 years. No Longer! This product has changed its formula, which is now bright white and pearlescent (what did they add?), and it is also thinner and more watery.. making it difficult to use. It never used to sting my eyes, but it does slightly now. Not sure if it is a coincidence, but I have had many break-outs on my face since using the new formula, which was exactly why I originally stopped using Cetaphil a long time ago and started using Aquanil.. because Aquanil used to be superior, and pure. When are manufacturers going to stop messing with beloved products just to save a buck? I would gladly pay more if the ingredients are increasing in price. Just keep it the SAME. FYI: When I ordered this product it was from Amazon as usual, but could only get sold by Pharmapacks, not my original seller. The new formula was so different that I thought it must be a counterfeit and I applied for a refund. To Amazon's credit, they refunded my claim when the company didn't respond to my message requesting a refund. Next, I went outside Amazon to reorder, and although the product that came wasn't quite so bright white.. it STILL was different in all the ways I described. I'm done with Aquanil Cleanser. When you have seriously raw and irritated skin, especially in sensitive areas, washing with soap was burning and painful. My dermatologist recommended this cleanser to me. I use it on the shower and in the bathroom. It really helps keep my irritating skin from drying out and it does not burn. Price is a bit high but when you have serious skin issues there is no price too high to find a product that keeps you clean and comfortable. Have never found anything better.

My Dermatologist recommended this product ~15 years ago. Ever since then, I have been using it everyday especially in the winter. My skin itch due to the heat from the heater in cold weather. I used to use prescription lotion to stop the itch but never cure. Once, I ran out of the prescription lotion, I used this product instead. Surprise!!! It stopped the itch for a long period of days. I also use it as soon as I develop rashes. The rashes went away in a few minutes. Basically, I use it when I have skin issue and it works every time.

I have used this soapless cleaner on my face for years... good cleanser, less drying and allergy free. This produce was sold as 2 bottles, and packaged in an open plastic bag. The screw top pump lid was halfway off on one of the bottles, leaking into the plastic bag. Since the plastic bag was not sealed, liquid also leaked into the Amazon box and on my other items. It all cleaned up, but instead of 2 bottles I am short a half bottle (that is a month or more of not cheap face soap). I gave 4 stars because review ask for "overall". Product is great, packaging and packer were subpar! Not many choices on returns. It wasn't worth the trouble to return items and wait for new ones.

I have extremely dry skin, and have used this product to wash my face for more than 15 years. It was specifically recommended by my dermatologist, and has worked very well for me. This order, from lot H576, is defective. It is white, and will run through your fingers like water. Because of my long history with this product, I knew something was wrong and called the manufacturer to report it. They already knew, and are taking care of it directly with me, instead of having me process a return with Amazon.

This is a lipid free face cleanser and I have used it for 20+ years for my sensitive skin! It continues to be my cleanser! I highly recommend it! This product is very inexpensive as well.

Many years ago my dermatologist suggested/recommended I use this product, and I've gotten real used to it over the years. It has a nice soft texture, has no scent, cleans and rinses beautifully, leaving me ready for the next step in the facial cleansing regime, toning.

Works well! Arrived with no issues. And works well! Face definitely feels cleanser than using cetaphil for years. Like how gentle but effective it is! Purchased this product thanks to Dr. Dray. My old cleanser was double this price but had lots of essential oils in it. I decided to swap to something essential oil free and fragrance-free. No breakouts or acne noticed so far!
