Lots of Seeds will last a while
I planted a little bit of all 4 of the seeds in different parts of my pot. I probably should have planted a few more as I don't think they all germinated. It seems as if the catnip did not germinate at all but the others all had growth. Next time I will likely plant more. Even so, I think I will have plenty of seeds for several plantings. My cat has shown interest in it even though it is a bit sparse right now. One problem, the QR code didn't work on my phone, it would only open the first page, so it took me a bit to find planting instructions.

Great grow rate!
Every single one we have used so far sprouted and grew, cats are loving it so much!

Grass grows but no catnip sprouts:(
I buy a couple bags every year. cats love it. grass always sprouts. BUT this year I can't get the cat nip seeds to sprout:( Bought 2 bags already in past month. Grass seeds are growing but no cat nip... wish the seed packs were larger too.

Great but just buy in bulk
I mean it works fine if you're just trying something out but you can just buy in bulk at your local feed store. That's what I'm going to do. The seeds are just seeds, normal quality and stuff. I liked the variety but don't put it all in the same pot because they grow at different rates so one plant will choke out the other. Worked great for me but just buy in bulk.

Easy to grow, good amt of seeds for the price! Great for cat's physical/mental health/well being!
What a great cat grass package! I ended up putting these in their own separate containers and most of them sprouted almost immediately! Less than a week in, I noticed sprouts! I am SO excited to give these to my cats! I am hoping it will keep them out of my avocado trees that I have growing! They are obsessed and won't leave them alone! I am a vet tech, so I know sprouted grains are excellent for cat (and dog) health, keeps them occupied and adds enrichment to their lives! I keep mine under a grow light and mist them several times daily, so they sprouted quickly! I also put some of the catnip in my aerogarden and those started about a week after I "planted" them. The ones I put into "Back to the Root's" seedling starter haven't come up yet, but the dirt has shifted, so I know something is happening. I will also be putting all 4 packets into one pot so they will have plenty of places to access their "cat grass". I have 7 cats total and a few outside cats that I take care of, so I will be planting some catnip out back as well. You get a good amount of seeds in each packet and the price was the best I have found. I love that it is GMO free and know I will be reordering more soon. (Catnip not pictured, because I forgot to grab them at the time of this review, but trust me - it IS growing.) I have grown catnip before and had all the outside cats in the neighborhood in my driveway every morning and evening LOL I ended up foraging some from my cousin's back yard and transferred a giant plant to a big planter and put it in my yard for the "feral" cats in my neighborhood and they loved it so I have no doubt the cats in my new neighborhood are going to appreciate this just as much!

Fabulous grows quickly
We planted this grass a while back in a deck box and tower for our 7 kitties. Its so popular they play fight over it so we had to get creative in who gets what level. Safe to say its got an effect on them. Half play with zoomies the others nap. Its part of their regular diet. We buy every year.

Read this review.
I really wanted to love this indoor/outdoor grass-growing kit, but unfortunately, my experience with it was extremely disappointing. I purchased this specifically for my 4½-month-old kitten because I thought it would be a fun and healthy little project for her to have some grass of her own to nibble on. I liked the idea of being able to grow it myself and have a fresh supply available for her. I decided to plant the seeds outside, thinking they would have plenty of natural light and that growing them outdoors would give them the best possible chance. Unfortunately, hardly any of the seeds germinated or grew for me. I didn’t expect every single seed to grow into a perfect, full container of grass, but I absolutely expected a much better result than what I got. The amount that actually grew was so sparse that it wasn’t really worth the effort. Now, I do want to be fair because this has been an awful gardening year for me in general. My regular garden didn’t do well either, and my harvest was terrible this year. So initially, I wondered if the poor results were simply because of the growing conditions this season. I don’t want to blame a product for something that could potentially be caused by weather or other environmental factors. However, there is another important piece of information that I think is relevant when reviewing this product: I am a serious plant enthusiast and have more than 300 indoor plants. I have been growing plants for quite some time and am very comfortable caring for them. I know how to start plants from seed, I understand germination requirements, and I know how to care for seedlings once they emerge. In other words, I am not someone who randomly sprinkled seeds somewhere and forgot about them. I followed the general growing process and gave these seeds an honest opportunity. Unfortunately, the results were still extremely poor. That is what makes this purchase so frustrating. I purchased this kit because I wanted something simple and reliable for my kitten. I didn’t need a complicated gardening project. I just wanted to grow some grass that she could safely enjoy. Instead, I ended up with very little growth. The concept of this product is great. I actually really like the idea behind it. Having a little indoor/outdoor grass kit specifically for pets is something I think many cat owners would enjoy. Cats can be very interested in grass, and having the ability to grow fresh grass at home is convenient. If the seeds had germinated and produced a nice, healthy patch of grass, I would have been thrilled with this purchase. Unfortunately, the execution just wasn’t there for me. I also don’t want anyone reading this review to think I’m saying that absolutely no one will be able to grow these seeds. Obviously, growing conditions vary, and some people may have a completely different experience. But I’m reviewing my actual experience with the product, and my results were simply not good. I planted the seeds outdoors and waited, hoping they would eventually take off. Instead, only a very small amount grew. Considering the entire purpose of the kit is to provide grass, I found the poor germination rate to be a major problem. And yes, I realize that gardening isn’t always predictable. Seeds don’t always germinate, weather can affect growth, temperatures fluctuate, and sometimes plants simply don’t cooperate. As someone with more than 300 plants, I completely understand that. That’s actually why I tried to give this product the benefit of the doubt. But when I purchase a seed-growing kit, I expect the seeds themselves to have a reasonable chance of germinating when given appropriate conditions. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience here. My kitten is still young at 4½ months old, and I was really looking forward to watching her discover and enjoy the grass. Instead, there simply wasn’t enough growth to make the kit useful for that purpose. For me, the biggest issue is the poor germination and extremely sparse growth. If I had gotten a thick, healthy patch of grass and my kitten just didn’t like it, that would be completely different. At least then I could say the product worked and my kitten simply wasn’t interested. Unfortunately, I never really got to that point because there wasn’t enough grass to begin with. I also think the product could be improved by providing clearer information about seed quality, germination expectations, and ideal growing conditions. If there are very specific temperature, moisture, soil, or light requirements, those need to be clearly explained so customers have the best possible chance of success. Again, I want to emphasize that I am not new to growing plants. I have a large indoor plant collection of 300+ plants, and growing from seed is not something I’m unfamiliar with. I know that plants require patience and proper care, and I’m more than willing to put in the effort when I’m growing something. That’s why I was particularly disappointed with this kit. Maybe I simply received a bad batch of seeds. Maybe the growing conditions this year played a role. Maybe others will have better luck. I can’t say for certain what caused the poor germination in my case. What I can say is that I purchased the kit, planted the seeds outdoors, cared for them, and hardly anything grew. For a product whose entire purpose is to grow grass, that’s a pretty significant problem. I really wish I could give this a better review because I genuinely wanted this to work. I thought it would be an inexpensive and enjoyable way to grow something specifically for my kitten. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can’t recommend it. 1 star from me. The idea is good, but the results were nowhere near what I expected. With better-quality seeds and a much more reliable germination rate, this could be a really useful product for cat owners. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that experience.

QUALITY
I just received my package from Amazon with “Home Grown-Garden” heirloom herb seeds. I’ve purchased this particular pkg to grown indoor herbs for the dog and cat. Too many chemicals outside to let my dog munch on the greens and of course the cat stays inside with the exception of a lead walk. Im planting them right now so they’ve obviously not started growing yet, but I’m so impressed by the products of this family company, I wanted to give a quick review: The packaging is stunning, protective and professional. I’m an amateur veggie Gardner so I feel comfortable saying the quality of the seeds are outstanding! They’ve even included 10 garden labels. I’ve already looked up their company for seeds for my garden for the humans too! I’ll do another review after planting. HAPPY GROWING!!
