Daruma Fortune Dolls (4.7cm, Set of 10, Made in Japan)

These aren't toys, they're symbols of perseverance and hard work, and are also known as "good luck charms". I keep them as a set. Each color is supposed to be for different purposes. You can hand them out as gifts according to what your friends are wishing for - purple for health, gold for wealth, pink for romance, blue for academic success, etc.

This was a gift for my daughter. These are very tiny. Not for little kids. Perfect for adults.

Perfectly crafted and not one flaw on any of them. Good weight, good height and fit well with anyone who loves Japan on any level. They're good for gifts or grab-bag items for parties. Make sure, if you have a major goal you want to achieve, to fill in one eye as you make the wish. It's a great motivator to want to give the Daruma full vision as well as to achieve your goal.

The quality of the product is great. 9 of 10 survived shipping. I believe one got dented in shipment. Too fragile to be shipped in just an envelope. Should be shipped in a box or wrapped in padding if using an envelope.

This is a cute idea to give for goal setting. My son gave one to everyone in the family. You color one eye in when you have set a goal and the other when you have accomplished the goal.

I was surprised at how expensive these paper mache dharuma dolls were. I needed them for a class, otherwise I would not have spent so much money.
