5 Star
Definitely a book worth picking up, heck even pick up the whole series! I've only currently read the first book but know I am going to fall in love with the whole series without a doubt!

perfect balance of plot, smut and romance
Ngl I’m more in love with Anna than Leo and I had some serious doubts for a while on where this was going to go but I love how it ended. It didn’t feel predictable or boring at any point and I find myself desperate to know out more about every character mentioned. This is my first Sophie Lark book but I love the obvious Easter eggs for previous or future books in her literary universe. Looking forward to reading my second.

Finally circling back
4 5 stars I started this series reading book 3. (Yes, I know you're not supposed to do that, but it's fine) So to circle back was...interesting. This is a tale told in 3 POVs; Anna, her best friend Leo and Dean. Leo left his full ride to join Anna at Kingmakers and Dean..he's got grudges. This was totally worth the read, especially knowing how book 3 and 4 pan out, it's a wild ride and it gets a little dark in spots. Leo and Anna were so beautiful together when it finally happened. I won't leave it so long to dive into The Rebel.

Great writing but iffy plot
I love love the authors writing, I was really enjoying the complex relationships and in depth characters. I loved the addition of pictures and the soundtrack, made for such an immersive experience. My only fault is that the book is about 18 year olds at essentially mafia college, and I found myself skipping most of the school related stuff as despite it furthering the plot and theoretically added suspense it just didn’t interest me.

Love it.
Ok so I have a new favourite Sophie Lark book. This was Ah-mazing. I knew it would be good, but my god I loved it.I don't ever want to leave Kingmakers. I want a story for every descendant, for the Brutal Birthright series and the Underworld series. This is her best work to date and that says alot, I've read both series and this tops them both, long may it continue.Leo has knocked Callum from his top spot! Anna is fierce, I love her. There's a great cast of supporting characters I'm looking forward to seeing more of. This was so good, I am actually giddy with anticipation for the rest of this series.

Amazing!
Absolutely couldn't wait for this series to start after reading the brutal Prince I was hooked on that series. Now these are the children from that series going to the Kingmakers school for mafia kids. Well it was amazing absolutely loved it! Leo the son of Sebastian and Anna the daughter of Miko an absolute power couple start as friends but are totally in love with each other. But also Dean Yenin well he completely tries his hardest to ruin Leo.... Don't want to ruin it so that's all I'm saying but it's a definite must read!
