This iron get hot and close to your roots/edges. Get one of those heat protectant gloves and some heat protectant for your hair too. It’s not too light or too heavy. Heats up very very fast and the controls, on/off and temperature settings, are out of the way— I also love how long these plates are. This allows me to use the iron on my entire head, to straighten & make spiral curls and not just “pulling out the roots and/or smoothing my edges.” I really hope this iron lasts. One last thing, There is no velcro strip to secure the cord and the loop to hang it is really small.

So hard to find a flat iron 1/2 inch. When I saw the RED by Kiss I checked it out and it had all the settings I was looking for. First, the half inch plates. I have very short curly hair so I need a half inch plate. Anything wider will not pick up my short hair. Temperature control was another feature I needed. I want to be able to adjust the heat. This one will go to 450 degrees but that is too hot for me. 350 degrees works great But if I have a stubborn spot I can dial it up a notch and get just the temperature I need. Titanium plates are another feature I like. Very smooth so no pull on my hair. Also an automatic shut off in case I forget to turn it off. The price was also a consideration. The Red by Kiss is very affordable. So far, this iron has everything I want in a flat iron.

flat iron is very professional like- it works great on my daughter natural hair and perfect on mine (which is partial relaxed)! Smooth and easy to use with great temp control w/o frizzing your hair.

I failed to see that you have to select use Amazon shipping box at the end, so the seller shipped the item in the original package. Immediately upon arrive I noticed a severe indent in the package exposing the flat iron. I was so upset, but found it was completely fine. The flat iron works great! ***At the end of check out pay close ATTENTION. To the SELLER, don't ship these in the original package! I know it saves on time and money, but, it can lead to an unhappy customer.*** Luckily mine arrived with ONLY damage to the package and not the flat iron. My friends were so impressed with the results, I ordered another for my family member. Choosing an external box that time around. They too are happy.

The RED by Kiss Pro Titanium 1/2" Flat Iron is a great styling tool. It heats up quickly enabling frizz-free hairstyling results even in high humidity enviornment. Very easy to use. I thought the tool was going to be smaller, more for traveling b/c of the 1/2" plates but it is a full size iron. So overall, very pleased with RED by Kiss Pro Titanium 1/2" Flat Iron.

Heats up fast and easy to handle. However, unlike my Japanese straightening iron, this Kiss straightener burned and frizzled my hair. I have very thick, coarse hair so if you have fine hair I would be cognizant of the heat settings. You have to be careful using this iron and have a deft hand.

Love this flat iron! Best I've ever owned and would definitely purchase another when necessary. Have very short hair and design is thin enough to get plates close to the hair root. Despite maximum 460 degree temp., hair does not get dry, brittle from use. Hair is soft and suspect that is due to Titanium Plates. Most 1/2" flat irons are mini travel size which I did not want but this one is full size. Good value for the price.

I have used Red Pro several times before. Im highly upset yesterday my Flatiron just stopped heating up after only a month and two weeks. It's to late to return them. Im stuck with this lemon Flatiron. Ijs .
