Q: the size my flip belt original is extra large… is there a size chart for the elite?

The company website of FlipBelt includes only one size chart, which apparently applies to both the original and elite belts. So I would say that you can order an elite belt in the same size as your original belt.

Q: Is there a pouch for bottle?

No, no "pouch" designed to carry a bottle. Only areas throughout the belt that can hold smaller narrower items for example: keys, gel-packs, energy snacks, phone, knife, identification, whistle, etc etc.

Q: Is there a size 2xl? if I am 40 inch wt size should i get?

I have a 31" waste and I bought both the "large", and then the "medium". The medium is a little more snug and my go-to belt when trail running while wearing typical running shorts. The large I use when wearing bulkier clothing such as when hiking with pants and a typical belt with a shirt tucked in. I'm guessing the large would be a good fit for up to 36-38" wastes? If there is an "extra large Or 2XL" size, those may be the one for you with the 40" waste you mentioned.
