Frost King Double Face Mounting Tape, 1/2"x54' - For 3 Windows

I first used this in a 'kit' to put shrink plastic on my windows for the winter and the tape worked very well. But after winter I had to remove the plastic so, in as much as I could, just left the tape adhered around the window for the next season. Since that's not always possible, and most people may not want to do that, I began ordering just the tape, using a heavier, non-shrinkable, reusable plastic as the weather barrier. I was afraid the heavier plastic might pull down the tape - nope, it held so I order new tape as needed. The tape does come off with a little effort and, so far, hasn't ripped my wall or trim paint off but in a couple of places - those are usually where the paint was on something slicker and would've come off anyway. So the tape is great for places where there's good paint adhesion and you want to remove it later.

I’ve been putting up window plastic since 2006 and it’s the best tape I’ve ever used. It holds, and it comes off window frames better than several double sided tapes. You can’t go wrong with frost king. I’m still using it in 2025 !

installed 3 6foot tall by 42 inch wide windows without problems, I cleaned surfaces with alcohol before install and allowed to dry thoroughly. then Installed the tape and let it sit for a while so it could adhere to window frame before installing the window film. I tried installing the window film immediately after installing the tape on one window and it did not go as planned. That tape pulled away when tightening film. I allowed the tape to rest in place for five minutes or so before pulling film across, install went well, and stopped drafts. The film is not as clear as a normal window and it will have a few wrinkles, but my goal was function over fashion, stopped the drafts and I can still see the trees outside.

I like the fact that it is easy to handle. I didn't have a lot of problems with the tape sticking to itself or everything else but the window. If removed quickly, you can adjust if you need to. As you can see in one of the pictures, it's a little off but that is not due to the performance of the product. If need so, I will definitely purchase again. Also it is a great value for the price.

Great value for unused film kits.

Cleaned my walls beforehand as instructed. It adhered incredibly well to the plastic film but peeled off my walls within a matter of days.

You should clean the surface you're attaching it to. Then it sticks like a charm and holds the plastic snuggly. No problems.

This tape worked great for putting the plastic on walls of my greenhouse. Vey stickly.

Worked great, has been up for over a month and a half on multiple windows with no detaching or warping. I did my whole front entryway and unless I told you it is there, you wouldn't know. Used with Frost King window plastic. I only wish they sold a bigger roll, lol.

use this yearly on an old window in our farmhouse. it is extremely sticky and never peels off the window frame so it is definitely effective. This is also a slight downfall though when removing the film. Sometimes depending on how careful I am or not removing the tape, it’s not uncommon for it to rip the paint as well. I will continue to use it as the pros outweigh the cons
