I heard I should use Phosphoric acid to etch grout before applying a sealant. Would this product be good for that?

using Phosphoric acid on grout will basically erode or eat away a very fine layer of grout. this opens the pores and gives the grout more bite for the color seal to bond. When grout cures after installation, it gets almost like a skin on the surface from settling, or at least a tighter surface tension. When you hit this with Phosphoric acid, it opens it up and makes it slightly rougher. If you don't color seal, it will make it more prone to staining in the future. It doesn't always need to be done, but it will help the color seal bond.

Can I use this on rusty kitchenware? Like pots and pans,?

This can be used as a rust remover. Be sure to use gloves! Great for cleaning residue from metals.

Can I clean the rust from cast iron cooking pans with this? It says it has an inhibitor that remains behind, so I wasn't sure if it would be safe.

USE POTATO AND COURSE SALT TO CLEAN CAST IRON. but FIRST !!! PUT IT IN A RED HOT CAMP FIRE COALS AND BURN IT OFF BEST WAY!!! THEN AFTER IT COOLS OFF ENOUGH TO NOT CATCH THE VEG OIL ON FIRE WHEN YOU APPLY IT TO THE CAST IRON. BEST results! you can use charcoal also
