This lens hood is a perfect fit for my Canon RF 100-400mm lens. In terms of fit, finish, and functionality, I honestly can't tell the difference between this and Canon's OEM version. I've purchased several other lens hoods from this manufacturer, and every one of them has been well made and performed flawlessly. They lock securely in place, fit precisely, and provide the same protection and glare reduction as the originals. What really stands out is the value. This hood cost about one-quarter the price of Canon's OEM version, yet I can't find any meaningful difference in quality. It's hard to justify paying Canon's premium price when products like this are available. Highly recommended!

What’s to say? It’s an exact replica of the over priced Canon ET-74B ($12 vs $63). Fits perfectly, and is reversible like the Canon one. I hardly doubt any stray light will notice the difference. I use JJC lens hoods on every Canon lens I get that either didn’t come with one new (non-L) or used without one. Never had an issue with any of them. Save yourself some money and get a JJC hood. If having JJC emblazoned on the hood doesn’t suit your tastes, I guess you could get some modeling spray paint that matches and touch it up?? Me I don’t care so long as it’s economical and works.

Appearance and function are very good, thus the 5-star rating. Just a very small note; attaching to the lens is very easy but detaching is a little more difficult. Still a 5-star!!

Fits the RF100-400mm lens perfectly, and stores in reverse fine too. Saved me $60 that canon is charging for it

If you have spent the money on a telephoto lens to take decent pictures, why would you NOT add a lens hood to protect your pictures from glaring side lighting? This hood connects solidly but comes off quickly for easy storage (you install it in a reversed position back over the lens) and it does the trick throughout the range of my Canon RF 100-400 mm lens. The price is decent enough, too.

Fits the Canon RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lens perfectly. Locks in place both when on and when turned down on the lens to store. Does not create any shadows on test photos taken and appears to be good quality although time will confirm this later. A fraction of the cost of a Canon lens hood, which didn't come with the [$1000] lens, but should have, and isn't available anyway.

Fits fine. Does its job well enough for me.
