It's obvious to see how much better the pumpkin kit is when comparing to the ones offered in stores around Halloween. It fits comfortably in my hands while using, plus the thickness and sharpness of the metal serrated knives allows one to easily carve through the pumpkin surface. Ones I've used in the past required a back and forth sawing motion to accomplish the same goal, and I always felt like I was going to lose a finger in the process. Between the ease of using, the various tools included, and the sturdy overall construction, I believe I'll no longer have the need to purchase new carving sets year after year. This one's a keeper.

Mitch better got carving then the flimsy sets available at retailers. We bought 2 and plan to use them again for carving next fall. We were able to cut open, scoop out and carve lots of cool pumpkins using scraping, and sawing blades from the kit. Unfortunately one blade broke before we even used it, but the rest of the tools were problem free! In guessing that one knife was a dud. Loved this set!

Carving pumpkins is a Halloween tradition in our family so when I saw these tools I decided to see if they were worth the investment. Overall, we are happy with them. The material in indeed sturdy and easy to hold, the blades are sharp and the variety is a plus. One of the handles did come off but we were able to put it back and use it without issues. Easy to wash and the bag they came in is a nice touch. Would recommend this product to people who tend to destroy the cheaper versions one can buy for $5.00 and use one time only.

I wanted to try out pumpkin carving this year and was in search of a good starter set that would be sturdy enough so that I can keep reusing it. I was skeptical at first about this set but after reading the reviews, I decided to order it. OMGGG, this is a greeaaat starter's kit for beginners!! Easy to use and sturdy enough to get the job done even though I only used 3 tools out of the whole kit lol. Anyways, my transformers pumpkin didn't turn out too bad for a beginner. If you are carving for the first time, get this set!
