Fairly good design, quality material but in the end didn't fit my needs.
Even though in the end I returned this, I found it was well made and will likely work for most people. But for me the work holding wasn't sufficient for my particular blade design, no matter how many ways I tried, the clamping hardware would have just got in the way of the bevel grinding job, so I didn't even get to use it. If I had other designs to work on this might have worked just fine but the hole pattern and the screws were just too long and the angles I needed to hold the part just didn't work for me. I had considered modifying it to suit the job but the work I'd have to put into this would be better spent on making a custom jig. There are better low-profile work holding systems and methods I can try that will do a better job than whatever I could do to modify this thing. Probably the biggest gripe would be what others have also mentioned is the adjustment screw has no way to fix the angle without adding some extra nuts to the adjustment screw, it's really wobbly and certainly would work it's way out with the vibration of the machine. So at the very least this does need some modification before it's really usable. But a trip to the hardware store should remedy that problem. The price is also good for what you get, better materials on other systems might be worth it for some but I don't see a need to go overkill for something like this. The plates are thick enough and feels firm and solid and the hinges are tight and fixed well and doesn't have any noticable wobble to it. If I had any other project it would be suitable for I'd likely have kept it. But take all this with a grain of salt as I don't have any long term testing on this jig.

Impressive fit & finish, especially at this price point.
Very surprised with the quality, fit and finish of this jig, especially considering the price point (small version). It really is nicely designed and put together. I haven't ground with it yet but I have mounted a few blades and bar stock pieces to get the feel of it. Looking at this model, I believe I will pull the trigger and buy the bigger model as well.

angle guide is as advertised.
chose this one for the number of tapped holes in front plate. good call. as pictured. nice piece of machining considering the ridiculously low price. hardware is decent quality, aluminum is well finished, thread taps are clean. slight gap on the tack weld holding the truss for the angle adjusting thread rod to the base plate. doesn't affect function. slight wobble of angle adjusting thread rod in truss, fixed easily by adding standard nuts to rod in front of and behind truss.

Works, but its too big and bulky.

Quality for the price.
Considering that some of these jigs sell for over $80, I wasn't sure exactly what I would get for $25. I can say, I was very pleased with what I got. Other than adding a couple of lock nuts on the angle adjustment screw, it's perfect right out of the box. Solid, dependable, and accurate (with the use of an angle gage) it's the addition my shop needed to raise my bevels to the next level.

Good enough
For the price this is the best deal on amazon, but it shows in the fit and finish and lack of any instructions. Lots of the chamfer on the screw holes is poorly done and some screws don't thread easily. I got an uneven number of screws, not sure if I'm missing one. It is aluminum and the angle adjustment screw is steel and will bore a hole through it, so you either need to add a soft end or round it with a file. It may require some fiddling with to be perfect, but for the price it can't be beat.

No reason to make your own. This works perfectly.
Takes a little bit of getting used to, but definitely provides a better profile on my blades. Great value great quality. I couldnโt make one as convenient as this for the price I paid to just purchase. Highly recommend recommended.
