Would this repel yellowjackets if sprayed on the outer frame of a window?

I think it would. It seems to be effective on all types of flying insects. I try to spray the nest when they are all in it, but even if I miss some, they abandon the nest.

Can this spray be used indoors?

Not recommended. You might want to hire a professional if you have a nest indoors in your home. A barn is a different matter. I guess it depends on your definition of "indoors".

Will this kill ground hornets/bees?

I believe this product will kill anything.

anyone carry this for personal defense against human attackers?

My first concern isn't whether I will be sued, it is whether me and my family will be safe. It sprays 20 feet, I can't imagine it won't slow down an attacker.
