I replaced my highway pegs on my 2006 HD Sportster 883 L and they work great for me

Is the footpad area 4 1/4 inches or total length including mounting post 4 1/4 inches?

The footrest is 4 & 1/4 inches and you have to buy the mounting brackets you desire separately, I bought mine from Harley-Davidson for $45 a pear

Highway Ready

I love the look but I wish they would have came with a thin shim like my old highway pegs but it didn't and unfortunately my old shim is just a little to thick for these new ones. But overall very nice.
