It looks like the gel in the green tube is 10% menthol and in the white tube (which is what i've bought previously) is only 4%? is that correct?

It is only 4%, not the 10% as listed in product description. Professional strength is more potent. The cooling effects of 4% menthol were barely perceptible to me. I returned this product because it was misrepresented in its description and not helpful time. Both tubes are only 4% menthol.

Why is there a green gel and a colorless gel?

I've gotten regular gel and professional gel and they were both green.
