How much depth do the rudders draw?

The keel is about 14" from the bottom of the keel to the water line on the boat.

What is the range of the transmitter ?

I am unable to answer the range question, I bought this for my son and grandson. BUT.... I can say my son reported a n inconvenience to the deep draft required for the keel witch makes operating fro, a shallow shoreline a problem.
