I literally never leave reviews but had to for this! I have a chalkboard calendar I made out of chalkboard vinyl and use chalk markers to create the calendar each month. I can NEVER get the marker to erase all the way and I ended up just drawing on top of old caked on marker. This stuff TOOK IT OFF COMPLETELY! I’m sold, that is all. lol 😂😍

This past week I had my first paid calligraphy client who needed to have an updated menu on 5 chalkboards. The boards had not been updated since last year so there was old gold and white chalk marker to remove. The boards had previously been erased and written over and you could see the old work. For a couple of months prior to this project, I asked around for the perfect cleaner for this project. A lot of people mentioned this and I read a review here that said that it worked on old caked-on chalk. I took a chance and was not disappointed! This removed everything like a dream! Afterward, the board looked brand new and the owner was shocked!! The only thing that I would recommend is to buy a magic eraser like a sponge because the one in this box can get used pretty quickly. Definitely worth it!

Not often that I’m actually impressed by a product. But we had a large chalkboard that we haven’t touched in about 8 months, and which previously sat baking in the sun with chalk marker on it. It took plenty of scrubbing normally to get it clean, so I didn’t even want to attempt it after this neglect. But this cleaner acted like I had just written on it. Sprayed it on, let it sit, grabbed and wet rag, good as new after only one pass! They include a magic eraser type thing for stubborn stains, but we haven’t needed it!

This works well, as long as you let it sit on the chalk marker for several minutes. If left to sit until the marker gets runny then it is very easy to wipe off. However, once I spilled my water onto the chalkboard as I was about to spray the cleaner and that works as effectively, if not more, so I plan to just refill this bottle with water once empty :)

I am responsible for updating a chalkboard monthly at work. The board has been covered with various types of liquid chalk over the 5 years it has been in use, which resulted in a LOT of "ghosting" that I just couldn't seem to remove. Being a bit of a perfectionist, this bugged the crap out of me. I purchased this with the hope that it would remove all of those memories. I am happy to report that it did, but not as easily as I had hoped. It took a whole lot of elbow grease and I went through both of the cleaning sponges included in the box (literally, there was nothing left!) There are still a few faint images that show, but basically the board is nice and black once again and looks like the freshly washed blackboards on the fifth day of school. I don't so much feel that there is a flaw in this product, but it would be good to know upfront that it will still take some effort to remove the previous chalk lines. I had some really high, possibly unrealistic expectations for how well this was going to work, but once I got over that I was very pleased with the results!
