Good price and works
The price is right and it does the job exactly as it's supposed to. Some complained that it was flimsy. While the longer thin part did bend a little on one of the tougher outlets I removed, the working end didn't twist at all and I was able to easily straighten the long part of the tool by hand... It is simple, works, built well enough to last a long time, affordable... I'd recommend.

It works even if you think you not using it right.
At first you'll probably think it's too big for the socket, I can assure you it isn't. It is a tight fit but it will get the job done with a little force. I was able to remove the outlet underneath my radio and the one located in the center console. Quick heads up, the outlet that comes with the tool is a replacement for the center console outlet not the one under the radio.

Tool worked but port only worked for one of my sockets
The tool worked...with some cajoling, on my 2014 Dodge Caravan. It is okay but requires some force. Of the two power ports in the front of my Dodge Caravan, I had a lot more trouble with the one on the right. Left one came out easy. Also be aware that Dodge puts two kinds of power ports in here that have different kind of plugs, one has a gray back (like this one). The other is blue and this gray one won't work for that one. The blue one was on the left (in the front) of my Caravan. The part number for the blue one is Mopar 4685590.However, if I pulled stuff in and out of these ports a lot, I'd consider removing the panel and installing a better aftermarket one.

The right tool for the job
Need to remove the power outlet/cigarette lighter from your FCA vehicle? If so, this is a MUST HAVE tool. Worked great to remove the outlet from my FIAT 500x. Only needed the tool, not the replacement socket (which is not compatible with my 500x), but that's okay.

Works, But Could Be More Durable
The Dorman 57450 Lighter Socket Removal Tool works for removing sockets on compatible vehicles, but the build quality feels a bit weak. It’s easy to use, but may struggle with stubborn or tight sockets. Good for light use, but not the most durable option.

Fixed my Mustang 2014
With this device I repaired the dashboard power socket on my 2014 Mustang. Although it says that it is not compatible, it is the same socket, I already knew it. The tool included is not very good, it is a very soft metal, you have to do a lot of force and it bent into a spiral, but I still managed to get it out, I think it serves to use it once. Now my Mustang has a 12v socket again, thanks.

Doesn't fit 06 Ram 1500
Description says this fits my 06 Ram 1500. It does not. Guide lip that aligns it is on the opposite side. Also my connection expects 3 prongs. This only has 2. Bummer.**Update**So as it turns out, my truck has 2 outlets. The item sent actually DOES fit the secondary 12v outlet as it appears to be two different connections, each outlet having its own. Sadly the one I needed was the other type. Maybe seller should specify which side is need and have an option for the buyer to choose which one is needed. Guess I'll keep the one sent for when the other outlet stops working.

Plug and play
Got it snapped it in and it works fine. Had to return two from different companies with the same looking socket. Has a solid light blue base. Ridge was on the wrong side on both. Compare your old one to the pictures carefully. But I would recommend this one definitely.
