Solid Pen, Good Price
I purchased this pen around the same time that I purchased a Lamy 2000 multi-pen (and almost purchased the Uni Edge and Uni Jetstream 4 multi-pen). I also own a well-loved, but showing signs of that love, Rotring multi-pen from the 1990s. The Lamy is a gorgeous looking pen with dark ink, easy to hold for old arthritic hands, but on the expensive side. The OHTO is a great bargain having a metal body and coming in at 1/3 the price of the Lamy (and about the same price as the plastic Edge). It also has the look of a technical pen look which I like. The ink is wonderful but OHTO only makes this ink in black and red. It isn't quite as dark as the Lamy ink but it has never given me any problems--the Lamy ink sometimes hard starts. The OHTO is a little on the skinny side for my old arthritic hands, so I wouldn't use it for long writing sessions, but for annotations it is great. I am definitely glad I purchased this pen.

My search is over.
This is the one I have been looking for, a slim we'll made multi pen that has the right feel. Just enough heft and a knurled grip, very nice. Real nice tips on the pens as well. A+

Great multi pen
This is a great multi pen. I wish they had the same thing in different colors.

Good Functionality, cheap construction
After having my pen come in the mail, I noticed the front and back ends were crooked, and I had to do quite a bit of bending/snapping to get it to be "straight". Even as i'm writing this, the threading caused the pen to become crooked after I unscrewed it and put it back on.The multi-pen functionality works exactly as described. Other than this one, I have purchased a Rotring 4 in 1 (highest quality multipen i've ever encountered), as well as a Tutto3 (high quality for artistry, but overpriced, and only mechanical pencil, but same mechanism). I gave this OHTO a shot, especially because of the price point, and i am not that satisfied. The internal mechanism for the mechanical pencil is plastic, which is concerning. My biggest issue is the exterior finish; after a few days of barely using it, alot of the black had worn off and exposed the brass colored interior. Not sure why it happened so quickly, as I've had my Rotring 4 in 1 for many more months and have used it much more, and there is absolutely 0 external wear. The retract-button is attached to the body very thinly, and I fear it will break with little effort. The mechanisms don't slide out smoothly, and grab the internal chamber, especially as a single drop will cause the pen to become crooked, and then the snapping begins to try and get it straight and level. All in all, I would say it's worth the money, but very cheap compared to what I usually prefer, which is Rotring quality.

Solution to an unrecognized problem
There are but a few instances in a person's life when they realize a solution existed to a problem they didn't know they had. Like using an old ketchup bottle to pour pancakes, this pen changes everything about how you carry out vital tasks. There are many other pens that promise the 3 in 1 functionality but this pen carries out its promises, this is no one night stand pen, It is a life long companion. The sleek and well crafted body has a nice weight to it that is surprising from such slim frame, yet this pen has a presence, a tactical look that is complimented by it's matte black finish-this pen suggests it's more than what it seems and by association suggests the same of it's owner.I use it to make distinctions in my sketches, to stress and highlight my notes and occasionally click it just because. As wonderful as this pen is, I have ordered the matte silver for day to day use to avoid scratching or weathering the matte black finish (though the weathered look is quite charming in it self)I hope to have a collection of these.

Very cool pen
I like a lot about this 3 part pen. It’s my daily driver so to speak. The weight, the knurling, the gravity operated selection, it’s all very “cool”. I like to show students the “magic” selection process when switching between red or black or lead.I have 2 mild annoyances. The pencil and 2 ink cartridges rattle a little against one another. It gives a feeling of the pen being less solid than it really is. And the other is that I can’t easily access the eraser when the pencil tip is out. I have to reset the pen, remove the cap, then set it to pencil again before o can erase something. These are mild annoyances, but dock a star for me Otherwise, lovely pen. Very cool.

Pencil lead won’t advance
Great pen in concept. Feels solid and well made. Mine worked fine until the pencil lead ran out. I tried advancing it off and on over a couple days. Got nowhere. Eventually took it apart, removed the advancer tip for the pencil and it seems there is a small piece of lead stuck in it that won’t come out. I’ve tried flatting a staple to remove it but the staple isn’t long enough to poke it through one end of the other. Trying to fish another lead through just results in more lead breakage being stuck in the chamber. I’ve been trying now for 5 days with multiple efforts and ideas, to no luck. I’m going to probably retire it unfortunately. Buyer beware.
