Southern Vietnamese for beginners

It would be much easier to use if the English was on the same page as the vietnamese but it's not, instead the vietnamese words are translated on the next page over so you have to keep turning back and forth to try put the sentences together one word at a time. It's a bad layout. The audio files are not very usable either as I thought they would be complete mp3 or audio book to allow movement forward or back by 5 or 10 seconds etc but it's just "play/pause and slider" which is not very accurate way to find the right spots. I have to say I would return it except I have already written on it so I can't. It's a shame because it really could have been a great resource for my learning but I know with how difficult it is to use I will sadly most likely put it on a shelf and never open it again

この南部ベトナム語本は、とても楽しく読めます。ベトナム語文法もさらっと解説してあり、自然な会話が、マンガのセリフで得られます。英語文も平易でわかりやすい。ホーチミンで使われている南部ベトナム語の本は少なく、日本では入手しにくいので、この本はおすすめです。

I was really looking forward to using this story based approach to learn some Vietnamese but there is absolutely no information on how to pronounce the letters or syllables at all so how do you read anything? Completely useless unless you are already familiar with the alphabet and know how to pronounce Vietnamese words.

I love this book! I'm quite rusty on my Vietnamese so I wanted a simple book to help me out and this definitely helps! Comes with audio, easy-to-read comics, explanations, glossaries, etc! Highly recommend.
