Lee Precision 91617: Ram Swage

Awesome die! I used to use my deburr tool to remove primer crimps. Wow, what a waste of time that was, and always ended in sore fingers and brass shavings all over. This die is quite simple to setup, very easy to use, and does a much better job anyway. All that 5.56 brass that I've picked up over the years that was set aside can now be used with just one quick, simple step added. And best of all, it doesn't require an extra swaging tool mounted to the bench. Perfect for my use

I have been using this method for 150 rounds of crimped primer pocket 223 federal and will probably never go back to the cutter style.Use very little pressure and then seat a primer until you get the feel for the amount of pressure.It takes very little effort.

read and followed instructions. The small swager was not opening the primer pocket up enough, so I continued to turn the top assy 1/4 of a turn at a time. Then the center pin bent and it is useless. Not sure how I could have messed up following their instructions to the t.

Dear lord I cannot recommend this enough if you are reloading 5.56 ammo for .223 rounds. It makes the process SO MUCH EASIER. I thought reaming wasn't a big deal and was easy enough, but this make me never want to ream again. Whisper quiet, fits perfectly into the APP press, and feels solid as a rock. Isn't heavy or anything like that and setup is a breeze. Just toss it into the breech lock ring and go to town.

I had to sand down the shaft, resized reloading brass kept getting stuck. Other than that, works well.

Simple to set up, does what it needs to, but it can come apart and needs to be put back into place. So that’s a downside. But overall, it works

Confesso que fiquei cético com os comentários de que essa ferramenta da Lee seria melhor que a da RCBS, que eu já possuía e que funciona a contento. Mas me surpreendi com essa ferramenta da Lee por 2 motivos: ela não deixa o estojo travado no batente após ser conformado; e ela produz um resultado muito superior com menos esforço. Com a RCBS eu precisa repetir o processo 2 ou 3 vezes no mesmo estojo para ter a certeza de que o crimp seria removido. Com essa da Lee basta 1 alavancada e pronto! Crimp removido! Aqui no Brasil o nosso drama é com o crimp dos estojos NTA. As soluções nacionais todas são por remover ou escarear o bolso da espoleta, o que sempre retira material o que, mais cedo ou mais tarde, vai inutilizar o estojo. Como a ferramenta de swage da Lee, considero ter encontrado a solução definitiva.
