Easy Installation and Working Great So Far
Item arrived and installation was very easy. Great product for the price! Temperatures are stable for my CPU, it is visually appealing, the fan speed is as expected and not too loud at all.

Amazing Performance for the Price
Great value for the money! Easy to install, very quiet, and keeps my CPU cool even during gaming. The build quality is excellent, and the performance is outstanding. Highly recommended!

good fan, easy to install
My liquid cooling kit for my ibuypower machine failed and machine keep shutting down after 60s. after monitoring the temperature i found the cpu temperature spike to beyond 90 and shut it down. Quickly look online for a replacement and found this thermalright assessin x120 for a good price. I have the SUS TUF X470-PLUS GAMING board. Removal of the water cooling kit was a bit harder but installing the thermalright assassin as easy and the machine was maintaing between 40 to 60 celcius without the fan noise is pretty low so it serve it job. has been on the setup for a few months and so far no issues yet.

CPU runs so cool the fan doesn't even kick up under stress
Lol. Put this on my Xeon E3-1271 v3 server CPU, and it's such massive overkill. I can't even get the CPU to go over 50C with all 8 threads maxed out on a stress test. Fan doesn't even kick up!! CPU sits at room temperature most of the time. Obviously this seems like a massively good value. Comes with thermal compound. Excellent performance per dollar.

Works very well with 65W CPUs
Got it for my new Ryzen 5 5600, and it kept it about 61 Celsius running Prime95. My room is pretty cool, so you might get a few more degrees, but this cooler should keep similar processors cool easily. It also comes with pretty high quality Thermal paste. More than enough to install with, so you'll have leftover paste you can use if you have to take it off for whatever reason. With it keeping the temperature so low the fan runs at low RPMs and is very quiet.

Great value CPU cooler
The only complaint I have about this package is the instructions is entirely in Chinese. Customers. Shouldn't have to look for YouTube videos in finding instructions. With that being said, instructions had pictures that, though small, made it clear what the proper steps were. Aside from no English instructions, I was impressed with how much value I got for $18. My 9-year-old i7 8700 CPU has been hitting close to 100° with just a little bit of load in the past year. With this new cooler, it is running peak temperatures around 88° and stress tests. Idle temperatures are down to 40 degrees from the 60s before install. I don't even have to leave my case open anymore. Everything you need is included down to the thermal paste. My overall benchmark scores improved, though my 3D Mark graphics scores went down a little bit, probably due to the GPU would no longer having as much space around it.

Pretty much the best cooler for this price point
Worked well on my mini pc modification build. Is able to sustained 75W mobile APU (r7 6800H) at 80C. Fan is basically silent at all lower speeds. It only become audible past maybe 80%. Airflow is really good as well. Note that the heatpipes really don't work very well in the upside down position (in two of my images). You have to put it sideways to actually get it to work. This shouldn't be a problem in normal PCs, but be aware. Also the metal brackets for the AM5 seem to be cut off at the end. Not sure if that is intentional, but it didn't matter for me. Anyway, at this price point, you really won't find much better.

Read the instructions. Helps to have some sandpaper.
This is a cheap, effective cooler that mounts properly on socket 1700 boards. Mounting it is not terribly complicated but you really do have to read the instructions. Some people have written reviews stating that it didn't fit or it damaged their motherboard -- I am not sure if they installed it improperly but there are three different sized mounting spacers and you need to adjust the bracket size with clicks / notches before installing. Also the fan mounts with the rubber pads towards the heatsink and needs to be clipped on securely; if you don't do that it will rattle. These are not super obvious, so it pays to be attentive when installing. Pros: * Cheap * Fits many cases and sockets * Secure mounting * Comes with thermal paste * Works great for many desktop CPUs Cons: * Uneven bottom block -- the heat pipes come uneven and, not perfectly level with the mounting block and there were tool marks in the copper. I had to spend about 30 minutes progressively sanding it with sandpaper taped to a piece of glass to get it flat. Went from 400 grit to 1500 grit. It turned out fine, but it would have been a lot worse if I didn't do that. If you want to lapp it flat, make sure to use a completely flat surface and use long, even strokes. * Fan does not indicate which direction it blows -- I had no idea if it blows air into the heatsink or exhausts from the heatsink. I assumed it blew and positioned it so that it would be blowing into the case fan which would exhaust out the back, but it doesn't; it pulls air through the heatsink. So now I have two fans opposing each other. I will flip it to the other side but it is annoying to have to do that when they could have put an arrow on it at least. The stock Intel cooler and fan was so terrible that it ended up coming off and I was throttling my 12100F at 100C for I don't know how long. When I found out I got a same-day delivery of this cooler. After installing it, temps went down to 60C. Solved my problem so I am happy.

Absolutely mind blowing cooling
Absolutely mind blowing.... I was using the default intel cpu cooler and while playing some old games cpu temperature used go up by 50 to 60 degree... But now with Thermalight Assasin the temperature doesn't go near to 40... It remains under 40 degree while playing some old games and at idle the temperature comes down to 29 to 30 degree... I am totally amazed by its cooling...

Amazing cooler
Best value CPU cooler I've ever used, instantly dropped my temps by 20C+ from stock AMD cooler to this. Such an easy upgrade as well, setup will be easy if you've messed with the inside of computers before.
