Donner DDP 80 Digital Piano Keyboard 88 Keys Weighted, Hammer Action II, Home Electric Piano Full Size with Stand, Triple Pedal, MIDI Connecting and Headphone Interface

I took up piano lessons recently and wanted something that closely resembled the feel of an actual piano as a standard keyboard did not allow for playing softly or more loudly as per the pieces of music. This electric piano does just that. It has only one sound, like an actual piano, and that’s more than enough for me ! It also looks really good, and is quite compact although it does have the full 88 keys. It was delivered early, was really easy to assemble and so far I’m delighted with my purchase !

I'm overall happy with this piano other than the headphone socket doesn't have any option to turn it up. Being a bit deaf, I need this option for practice and I can hardly hear it. Resorting to playing it 'live' from the main soundboard would drive my family mad. I contacted support, but they couldn't offer any solutions. Suitable for beginners? Well, my advice would be to get a non-weighted option, but I'm no music teacher. It's giving my fingers a work-out and is a different feel to a purely electronic keyboard, as I had previously. It's quite a heavy thing as well, so not easy to move around without an extra pair of hands. Overall good value though - it's also attractive to look at set in my library room.

I'm going back to trying to learn piano (I studied music as a teenager) and this model is perfect for beginning again. It sounds good to me and the assembly was very quick. Looks great in my living room too, and it doesn't look cheap. I had read reviews from other customers saying the switch button didn't seem to turn the piano off. As soon as I tried it I found the same 'problem' and contacted customer services. They responded straight away with the solution: long press the power button for more than 3 seconds to turn it off. It worked! I'm very happy with their response and recommend this company.

I’m Obsessed! I was going to move a big upright here, but it’s too big for my small lounge. This sounds so realistic and tbh it’s aesthetically pleasing for a digital small piano

While it does look nice, I'm not too sure on the quality of the sound. However I'm an amateur so it's fine to learn with. The only real disappointment is that the legs are imbalanced and one leg is always half a inch in the air Meaning it's always tilted, which affects how sturdy it feels, I've tried every rotation, swapping legs, lot of effort but no result. It's brand new, I shouldn't have to wedge something under it to balance it.. The floor is flat, my table and stool is fine.

Updated review 12 Jan 2023 Over the last few months a number of keys on the keyboard for stopped working. I reached out to Donner customer service. While their replies are speedy the solution has been completely unsatisfactory. First they request I try to fix the issue myself! Ok so they sent me some instruction on how do do this, expect they were for a completely different model keyboard! I spent an hour or so trying to follow the instructions but was not able to access the part of the keyboard they they asked me to clean. I then asked Donner to either repair or replace the keyboard under the 2 year warranty. I was told this was not possible because the keyboard is out of stock, even though there is stock on the the https://idonner.eu/ website. Donner customer service tell me that this stock can not be released because my purchase was from their Amazon UK stock. So instead they have offered a refund of the original purchase price. A refund would be ok if I could purchase a replacement with it however the price is not £120 more expensive that what I paid for it. So much for a 2-year warranty! All I want is a working keyboard for my boys to continue their piano lessons. Very unhappy! Buyer beware! My 2 children, 8 and 10 years old, have been learning piano the last 2 years practicing on a small cheap electric keyboard. I thought it time to upgrade to a full-size piano when I came across the Donner DDP-80 on YouTube. After watching a bunch of reviews decided to go for it. Since buying it a few weeks ago I have seen my children's piano skills increase dramatically so in my opinion it has been well worth the cost. The sound quality and stylishness of the DDP-80 is excellent but more importantly the feel is almost identical to a real piano. Very happy. :)

THIS PIANO LIVES UP TO EXPECTATIONS, BUT I WAS APPALLED AND VERY UPSET THAT THE DELIVERY PERSON WAS NOT SUPPLIED WITH A TROLLEY TO MOVE SUCH A HEAVY LOAD. THE PIANO WAS ALMOST AS TALL AS HE WAS, AND HE HAD TO STRUGGLE TO CARRY IT DOWN A LONG DRIVE IN HIS ARMS, ALONG TWO PASSAGES (GROUND FLOOR AND 2ND FLOOR) TO ME. HE WAS SLIGHTLY BUILT AND THE BOX WAS ALMOST AS TALL AS HE WAS. I FELT SO SORRY FOR HIM, AS HE WAS REALLY OUT OF BREATH AND STRUGGLING BY THE TIME HE GOT TO MY FLAT. I DO FEEL AMAZON SHOULD STIPULATE DECENT WORKING CONDITIONS FOR STAFF OF THE DELIVERY COMPANIES THEY USE.

Before I start. It’s not that bad, it looks nice, apart from the pedals, the sounds not great but once you get used to it you won’t know any better although not having reverb (echo effect) really let’s it down. The action however is horrendous to the point that you would think it’s broken. Yes, it veers to the side of a heavy action but that’s not a bad thing and I much prefer that. But the bounce back from the keys can’t handle playing at speed, any scale and Hanon exercises can be thrown out the window, big no on trills Basically anything requiring playing above 32nd notes, struggles at that too. I took a punt, it’s the only way to try one as there’s no stockists, it’s a lot prettier than the standard black, but if you can play it won’t cut it. I’ve had to send it back once the refund comes through I’ll go for the Roland fp30x.

Das Donner E-Piano ist für den Preis wirklich gut, ich habe es für meine Tochter gekauft die für den Klavierunterricht 88 Tasten benötigt, bis jetzt kam sie mit einem Keyboard aus. Die gewichteten Tasten sind aus ihrer Sicht sehr nah dran am "echten" Klavier, der Klang ist angenehm. Beim Üben zu Hause ist der Kopfhöreranschluss auch noch ein angenehmes Feature für den Rest der Familie ;) Optik und Haptik überzeugen ebenso, der Zusammenbau war einfach, alle Teile passgenau.

C'est un piano au design magnifique ! je ne me lasse pas de l'admirer.Le son est super correcte, très bon en fait. Le touché du clavier lesté est incroyablement agréable et c'est à chaque fois une joie de travailler dessus.J'aurai aimé l’interrupteur et le volume caché sous le clavier à l'avant (pour garder le coté pure du design) plutôt qu'à l’arrière mais, ça me convient tout de même (je ne vais pas chipoter ;) ). J’ai une touche noir légèrement plus dure que toutes les autres mais des pianistes mon dit qu'il fallait que mon clavier se " fasse " à force de jouer...En bref j'adore mon magnifique compagnon de route sur lequel je me donnerai avec plaisir.
