on the directions it says "to make sure the patch sticks well, skip the ointment before putting on the patch". What does this mean? What ointment?

Some people put pimple treatment ointments right before they put on a patch so that makes it slippery for the patch to stick to the face. You can put the treatment creams way on beforehand so it sinks into the skin and then apply the patch. You want the patch to stay put and soak up the nasty.
