All metal parts, except where noted.Luckily, I have the tools and skills. Small chisel and common sense needed to adapt round latch opening to rectangular, longer latch mechanism, and latch plate openings, both on the door and on the jamb, tho jamb recess fits, if plastic backer is left off. The cross-support is too big to fit into regular round US-sized latch mechanisms, with no adaptation possible. Knob screws need to be shortened to fit US door, easily done at section breaks. Does not lock. All that said, exactly the look I was going for, for a closet door that sits directly behind an exterior door. Other than modifications stated, easily installed. No directions, but straightforward knob install. Knob turns smoothly, latches door shut.

It’s a nice handle that gives you extra space especially in our RV. It looks nice although I had wished the cover plates and internal parts were black as well as the handle. It’s still a very nice handle. I did have to cut the hole to accommodate the rectangle size as what was there was circular. It was very easy to install and functions very well. It looks great!

It's a high quality door hardware. I bought it to replace a lever handle on a closet door which I kept bumping into. This flush hardware is really minimal and sleek.The main problem as mentioned in other reviews is that it wont fit US dimension out of the box. I had to take a dremel to it and modify it. So either double check that this will work, or be prepared to make modifications

Avoid.Door edge plate not standard size. Had to chisel out the door for it to be flush. Locking mechanism too wide for hole, had to chisel it wider. Then, once the hole was chisled, the lock mechanism was too deep for the handle hole and guess what? Chisel time to get to fully insert. Then, the universal screws are too long and won't cut with a hacksaw. Screws have to be cut short for the handle to fit flush, so you need two people to install. Now it's installed, it sticks and wont open smoothly. I've installed dozens of handles over the years, and I know how to install a lock, but this was just trash. Took far too long.

Had a hallway ac door with a regular doorknob in a narrow hallway and it just was too protruding. Bought this and it was easy to install and now the door is more discreet. Great quality, very nice brushed shine.

Update 2 weeks later: FINALLY got this stupid thing installed after several weeks of messing around with it, epoxying parts, etc. Looks good and is functional but installation is NOT for the impatient or easily angered.Original review: What a mercilessly frustrating experience! Maybe this thing is manufactured for "standard" in some other country. In the US there is nothing standard about this item. The person who said it requires a lot of tools to install should have included that it also requires a boatload of TIME and patience. We're about two weeks into the installation process that has included multiple purchases of various US parts that we "hope" will work. It's become kind of a joke now and we are currently using a scissors inserted into the latch hole to get in/out of the bathroom.

The sleek design of these recessed locks is both modern and minimalistic. These locks excel in functionality. They provide a secure locking mechanism that gives me peace of mind. The locks operate smoothly, with a satisfying click when engaged or disengaged. Also installing these locks was a straightforward process.

I liked the flat design of this and it was a good idea but the actual installation was TERRIBLE. The middle lock section is rectangular so it doesn’t fit in conventional door are therefore I had to chisel out a rectangle shape to fit it. Then the middle bolt contraption needed to be cut down the exact size to fit through the door the connect both sides and if that wasn’t enough, the screws that fasten the knobs together also needed to be measured and cut. My concern here is that I am not someone who has those kinda tools ready to just be pulled out for what should have a been a very easy door knob swap. If you have the time and metal cutting arsenal then this is great for you but for me I gave up after having to use my rotor saw for the 4th time to get this thing to fit so 10/10 not a great time. Be easier if they just included universal size screws in the box.
