These are weighted well and the spring load works great for all kinds of widths of sofa and recliner. I bought them for when company was here as I don't have a coffee table but foot rest. These work well on the foot rest also folded with legs beneath as weighted and fairly stable if used appropriately. I also tried them as bed table rests for on bed when I read and they worked. I clamped it over my sham pillow [folded the sham doubled and clamped the little table over it]. I was pleased with how stable it was and off to the side of me very comfortable to work with but that would be a personal preference. I could see these being used in camping situations [RV] workshop situations where a little table nearby would help [it might work clamped over a sawhorse haven't tried that yet]. My reaction to them is that they are very nice for company, well made, nice tight clamping mechanism that adjusts, easily cleaned surfaces and very versatile for all kinds of things no one's probably thought of yet. I got 3 of them. Every one will be used.

Love this couch arm tray table. It is so handy and it doesn't tip or slide and is easy to remove if you want to use it on another chair or sofa. It can even serve as a lap tray. I use it to put my mouse on for my laptop and also for drinks, or as a level place to write on. I bought one for my son for Christmas and my daughter bought one for herself. I like the black since I have other place accents in the room. It is adaptable to almost any width of arm and remains secure no tipping. The arms fold up under the tray for easy storage if needed. Everyone needs one of these! I highly recommend it

I love this Arm Tray Table. It's very sturdy and good quality wood. The only issue I had with it is the slot for my phone does not fit with the case I have. If it was a little bit wider or even adjustable, I would have given it 5 stars

I purchased a new couch and do not have room for end tables on each end of the couch. I purchased these to place at each end to use instead. They fit very snug and do not move. Great to use for setting our drinks or cell phones and remotes on. Very useful when you don’t have room for an end table

This table tray is beautifully made of wood. I bought the black one to go on the arm of a grey leather sofa.The tray is smooth, with small but useful edges on the tray. Rounded edges for the tray and the wood clips that hold the tray on the sofa arm make it smooth -- not sharp -- so nice and comfy to touch. The circular indent for a cup and the cell phone holder work extremely well.If hinges can be considered beautiful -- these hinges are. Strong, just the right tension. High quality.The combination of function (the most important to me) and beauty (so pleasing) makes this tray perfect.

Productbis well constructed. Very easy to use. Cup holder is a great addition. The only dissatisfaction I have is that it is difficult to eat on. You have to turn sideways and it makes it challenging.

Love this fits well and makes it’s easy to set a drink on. So I save the arm of the sofa from spills.

Even though I ended up returning because my husband couldn’t use, the quality was great. The spring loaded legs felt sturdy and tight and it fit the arm of the couch easily. It is beautifully made and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again for another couch or use. One suggestion if I could is the slot for the phone - was too small for my phone with the case on it, so if that was a bit bigger it would have been more useful.

I love this little stand! It helps provide a sturdy and reliable spot to put my drinks and food if I'm on the couch. Just be wary that the phone holder slot is for a phone out of it's case or a slimmer phone - thicker phones or phones with cases on are likely not going to fit.

The hinges are spring loaded so it sits snuggly on the armrest of my sofa.You still need to center whatever you're putting on the table depending on its weight. A plate of food fits on there well but wouldn't trust it a 100%. Easy to bump as it sticks out a bit into the sofa sitting area. This is great for my phone or tablet. A laptop may be okay if it's very small. My 17 inch laptop does not sit on here very well. Also, it is designed to sit on the right side of the sofa as the phone groove is on the right hand side of the table. It should have grooves on both sides to accommodate right and left hand use.
