Smart wifi switch can be use or not?

Yes it can. After reviewing smart WiFi switches, I can assure you that it will fit this. Box.

Standard outlets and switches do not fit in this box, screws not lined up, what does fit?

I just did this. At first I thought the same as you because of the 4 holes on each side. If you look at a standard switch, you've got a single hole in the middle and a pair of mouse-ear-looking tabs with holes in them above that. The mouse ears are not used in this box. I figured out that if you move the switches/receptacles to the inboard screw holes the single holes top and bottom line up perfectly and you can run standard screws in like a regular interior blue box. This is one screw upper and one screw lower. Those other outboard screw holes are for holding the waterproof covers, not to hold the receptacles and switches in place.

can this box be attached on siding outside without any other protection or dors it need to be resesed in wall

attached using at least two points to outside surface

Good J-Box

Heavy-duty and reliable! This weatherproof box is solidly built and perfect for outdoor electrical projects. The multiple threaded outlet options (1/2” or 3/4”) make installation flexible, and the gray finish looks clean and professional. It’s sturdy, seals well, and holds up great in all weather conditions. Exactly what I needed for my setup—highly recommend!

Perfect for two-gang outdoor receptacles

Bought this unit to replace a smaller, shoddier unit. It's fairly deep and comes with 6 plugs to seal off any unused outlets (note, the plugs don't seem watertight and caulking is recommended for leak-proof applications).
