The point of this stuff is to fix your dishwasher
A while back, a bunch of misguided regulation led to this substance being removed from dishwasher powder. Immediately everyone was freaking out because they thought their dishwasher was broken: weird white residues, nothing gets clean, can't figure out what's going on. To this day, dishwashers literally don't work as well as they used to because of this stuff being taken out of the detergent. It's not a banned chemical or anything. It doesn't even have a good reason to be regulated out of common household soaps: TPP isn't the phosphate that causes the algal bloom 'pollution' that the change was meant to fix. You could pour a whole box of this stuff into a pond and it would not be polluted. But your dishwasher would still suck. For a while you could buy "fryer boil-out" products that were, in reality, just the good kind of dishwasher powder. But apparently that got banned, too, and the manufacturer no longer offers it. There's a solution, though, and it's a solution people were using shortly after the law changed: just add the missing ingredient. Buy a box of normal, non-weird dishwasher powderโif you can find one, everything seems to have gone to these disgusting "pods" thingsโthen pour it out into a bucket. Put a scoop of TPP into the bucket. Mix the powders together so they're kind of evenly distributed. Use the contents of that bucket when you run your dishwasher. BAM! Your dishwasher works like it did when dishwashers still washed dishes. Amazing stuff!

Bringing Back That '70s Clean โ Effective Laundry Additive
Iโve been using the Pure Original Ingredients Sodium Tripolyphosphate in my laundry, and itโs truly brought back that 1970s-level clean to my clothes! Adding this powerful cleaning agent to my detergent has noticeably improved the freshness and cleanliness of my laundry. My clothes feel cleaner, brighter, and have that fresh, crisp feel that I remember from the past. One thing to note, though, is that the instructions arenโt super clear, so itโs a bit of a trial and error process to figure out the right amount to use for your laundry load. But once I found the right balance, the results were definitely worth it. It works great as a water softener too, which helps with detergent effectiveness. Iโve noticed that the combination of this with my regular detergent really gets rid of stubborn stains and gives my laundry that deep, thorough clean. The 2.5 lb size is a good value, and you donโt need to use a lot, so itโll last for a while. Overall, I highly recommend this if you're looking to improve your laundry game and get that deep clean we used to get in the past.

Life changing when it comes to clean dishes and clean clothes
You need this to clean. Put it in the dishwasher, laundry machine, mop bucket, etc. This is what's missing in most cleaning agents. Great quality, fine powder that leaves no residue nor bunches up into balls. To get your clothes super clean, fill your bathtub with the hottest water you can get, put in just a bit of detergent, half a cup of Sodium Tripolyphosphate, 2-4 cups of Sodium Bicarbonate, and a cup of borax. Mix it up. Put your clothes in and leave them over night. Next day wash them like normal adding the Tripolyphosphate to the wash. They'll be better than brand new.

MAKE LAUNDRY CLEAN AGAIN
Great laundry additive for softening water and allowing detergents to more effectively clean. Small amount is recommended and does the job well. This used to be put in most detergents but was taken out due to creating algae blooms. Does not cause skin irritation but I utilize a second rinse cycle. The product has lasted over 4 months and is a great value. Bag is simple yet durable, no need to have it look like a name brand and pay for the marketing. The powder looks very fine and is not sticky nor does it cause a residue to build up in the machine.

Laundry Detergent Additive - Actually gets rid of stains / redeems softness
Several years ago, the EPA in its wisdom, decided that the common household should not be able to use phosphates in their laundry detergents. All detergents have been changed to use "enzymes" as such to try to eliminate stains and smells and such from our clothing. Yeah...how are your whites looking if you don't bleach them? If you seriously believe that clothes do not seem to get as clean as they used to, this is the big culprit. If you feel like clothing comes out harsh, and that the soft fabrics of the past seem to elude you, this too might be the culprit. Phosphates were a major component of soaps. They don't harm us at all - in fact, they are a food additive. Phosphates are a waste component. And to date, no one is claiming that we should not be putting these same phosphates on our lawns, tomato plants, or prize flowers. If you put about 1 - 1.5 tsp of this product into each load, mixed with your regular laundry detergent, the world will come back to normal. Cotton clothing will actually feel amazing. Unyielding stains will actually relent. Real story. All moms out there...you will know this story. : Stains like newborn baby poo....the yellow kind with the seeds that does not come clean with today's detergent alone...I know that's an unsavory thought but that was the real issue for me when I found the phosphates. I had 4 kids over 8 years. Changing nothing in my laundering habits, baby #3's newborn clothing would. not. get. clean. Seriously. Those newborn diapers try to work, but they just don't no matter how much you pay for them. Tiny newborn bodies just don't always conform. You will get blowouts. That mustard yellow mess is the biggest problem stain I have ever encountered in my life. It sent me to research one early...early...morning. I realized that although I had the same washer (one of the big front loading ones), same detergent (Tide HE), the stains laughed at me. The clothing would still have that faint yellow mustard stain. I tried soaking in Dawn dish soap before. I tried adding vinegar. It mocked me. Somehow I stumbled onto this product (not from this particular maker, but this exact phosphate product). I added it to my Tide in the washing machine dispenser, stirred it up (you have to stir it up or it just clumps) and let it go. It worked. Stains disappeared. All Yellow was gone. Sure, it was halfway clean before, but now it was back to really clean. Later blowouts did not stand against this combo of phosphates/Tide. The baby clothes felt so soft (phosphates bind heavy metals too so clothing gets softer). Towels became luxurious. Terry cloth material became soft again. I could go on. So thanks to the EPA, you are probably throwing out clothes because they can't get clean. You can fix it with this and a bag this size will easily last 9 months (even in my house where there are a minimum of 12 loads a week). BTW....they took it out of your dish soap and dishwasher detergent too....Sheesh...

STPP is a life changing booster for clothes and dishes. - Like it used to be!
I use this for my laundry and dishwasher as well. I use it to soften my hard water and also give it a boost that other laundry additives cannot do. It also helps suspend dirt and hard water minerals making for a cleaner and more thorough rinse in my washing machine. Depending on your water hardness and if you have an HE machine or not (as well as top loader/front loader) will help you decide how much you need per load. Do your research and you should expect great results with this stuff! It doesn't clump and dissolves immediately. Just make sure you keep it away from moisture and humidity and kept in an air tight container. This stuff is great for cleaning your washing machine and dishwasher alone to keep limescale, hard water build up and other grime away. Added to your wash routine will keep clothes nice and clean like in the old days when this stuff was in every detergent possible! As well as adding it to your dishwashing detergent, your dishes will be sparkling in the end! I am not worried about eutrophication or the fact that this is a phosphate because so little is used at a time and it has little to no impact regarding our rivers and lakes. If you expand on your research, it shows regular households barely played a roll in this and more so with the farm runoff and toxic fertilizer amounts used on farms, without any regulations, etc. Hope this helps!
