Before putting these in vehicles, taking them camping, using in house and gifting them...I tested them. They are easy to use! I have tested 5 over the course of 4 years, the first 3 tested were used after sitting in vehicles during winter and than summer months in Arizona. Yes, we get below freezing, not often but a few times. We also get over 115 degrees F during summer months- 46 C for the rest of the world. None of the tested canisters failed to discharge or failed their job. These are extremes, when I test it is too destruction, I want to see the failure limits. The other 2 tested were allowed to expire. One by 2 years and the last by 1 year. Both still functioned. The 2 year one had also had a rotation in vehicle through summer heat during camping trips. I used them to put out campfires, they worked!, Fire gone! What these are- positives 1. Easy to use 2. Small fires of all types can be extinguished. 3. Perfect for vehicles, each of ours gets one! 4. Perfect for camping, we bring two! 5. Each room of our house has one! 6. Gifting, other people I care about get these as gifts Cons- 1. No way to know if it will work, no gauges. Pure faith, though I did test thoroughly- I suggest buying two to have a spare. 2. Small. Not for fires that are more than a campfire, small engine, small boat or small kitchen type fire. Absolutely these are worth every penny spent, I will continue to buy more. ** when storing in vehicle, use a small igloo type container - this will provide some insulation and help them stay within expected factory specified ranges for stability. I use inexpensive Walmart igloos for car kit including. Oils, fluids, these and more Peace of mind at last!

I just purchased these but after reading some reviews I am not sure it was best idea. But people breaking handle is cause their panicking, at work we have training if how to use fire extingisher. You have to train you should know how to use extinguisher before you have to use it! Not learn when you need it. You might have to sacrifice one to train yourself. The key to using and emergency product well is to train and learn how to use before an emergency. Pro tip 101 always aim any fire extingisher at base of flames in a sweeping motion from side to side!! DO NOT JUST AIM AT FIRE AND SHOOT ALWAYS THE BASE OF FLAMES SWEEPING FROM SIDE TO SIDE!!!!! Also for those who have fires on BBQ or Fire in pot/pan on stove the simplest way to put out fire is to take away oxygen and turn off ignition source that would be gas to BBQ and put lid down fire will go out dont check leave lid down and turn off gas. If fire on stove turn off burner and put the proper fitting lid on pot/pan if possible move pot/pan to cold burner or an open stove top that is cooler. As long as you take away the ignition and the oxygen the fire will go out!!! I can't emphasize enough how important it is to train and learn the proper techniques of using fire extingisher also there are different types of fire extingisher for different fires you want to be able to identify that the fire extingisher you have is correct. Most common works for all fires A, B, and C but if you are somewhere else they still have water or liquid filled ones you wouldn't want to use one of those on a gasoline, or grease fire. TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN LEARN LEARN LEARN PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE Its not just your life you might have to save! They have free classes just have to take a hour or so to go to one. Trust me I have used my training multiple times. The last time I gave CPR to a guy who was hit in head with jet ski he didn't make it and I knew it was bad and it was probably pointless but I tried and I was thanked and people were grateful and proud I worked on him for over 30 min! But we did save a child me and my lifeguard co-workers he got life flighted after he drowned but made a full recovery and it felt good his parents thanked us a thousand times!! Be safe and prepared you just never know!!

Having been fire fighter I can stress the importance of having . A fire extinguisher in the home and in the camp trailer. Not everyone can afford $30-50 for a small quality refill able or disposable extinguisher with a guage. That being said, this small single shot extinguishers are your best defense for budget minded folks. In the kitchen you must have a class BC, and this size is perfect to keep within reach either on the counter or just inside a shelf...not buried in the back! For the garage, don't skimp, especially if you use your garage as your workshop. Don't buy less than a 5lb AND! Mount it and be proud of yourself. These foregone extinguishers are a one shot dead as l and should easily take care of a a grease pan fire. Function is easy enough...point and pull the trigger using a sweeping motion. Judging by can size you should have a 6-8 second burst. Do not test squeeze to check pressure in the can after a year or two. Once the trigger is pressed you break the small seal in the can . As it will lose faster. What ever the expiration on the can is, stick to it. Buy a new one and the old one can be a back up in the car or garage....or let the neighborhood kids have a practice day. a gauge, that is this extinguishers biggest fault. Don't know why the manufacturer can't throw a turkey pop up type button on it that would indicate pressurization.. I got the two pack to replace one in my dad boulevard it is at least 10 years old and one to replace one in our camp trailer. With him be a sensitivity Clumsy hands I actually like the unobstructed as I can see his club fingers having issues with pulling a pun in a panic. For those looking for the next step up, kiddie makes a good disposable BC extInguisher sold on Amazon for about $20. It's a little bigger giving you a 10-12 second burst and can be mounted on the wall. I just put one up by our back door which is between the kitchen and washroom. I don't even notice it after it being up for a week. If you have kids DO download a YouTube or worksheet that explains the PASS technique. pull. Aim. Squeeze. Sweep.

We almost had a bad fire because my wife was trying to put a pan fire out with water and towels. She said she was intimidated by the normal fire extinguisher we have since it's big and would make a huge mess. So she was trying to get it out without that. Well that's certainly not good if someone is afraid to use a fire extinguisher. Rather than hope there isn't a next time where that might happen, I bought these. I showed her some videos of people using them (thanks other reviewer) and she said these are small and she doesn't feel held back to use them. Almost like using a can of compressed air. I never thought about someone avoiding to use a fire extinguisher because of the mess but I guess it sort of makes sense. So these seem like a very good investment to have just in case of a small fire or flare up that you may not want to waste and entire extinguisher on. I haven't used one yet but it gives good peace of mind.

The solution in this can is water based so if you leave it in your car or unheated garage in the winter in a northern climate it will freeze. If you leave it in a closed car in the sun in a southern climate in the summer, it will explode. I plan to keep it in my Michigan car from the beginning of spring to the beginning of December, leave the windows open in the summer, and not have any fires in the winter. It isn't a four season car fire extinguisher but it is cheap and small so it works well the rest of the time. Mine arrived well wrapped and not broken. There shouldn't be any breakage problem as long as you don't drop it on the top.

Nothing more to say other then arrived quickly, selling in a 2 can pack I believe is super smart for them as sellers but also best for any home. Having two cans for a low price and super handy item to have around and HOPE I NEVER need to use. Thought process is one in the garage, one by the stove, or possible others one in each car??? We have large extinguishers, but no where to really keep handy on a kitchen counter by the stove, the most likely place a fire could or would start. These cans are somewhat small, about the size of a spray paint can but thought process is having them on a counter at arms reach away, 99% I should be able to knock out a small flame long before it could get larger or out of hand in time needed running to get a larger extinguisher in the garage.

We own(ed) six of these, and we've used three. First use - grill caught fire. Grabbed one of these from the kitchen and the fire was out, no problem. We had to replace a fitting on the grill, but that was what caused the fire, not because of the extinguisher. Second use - making hush puppies outside and we had a grease accident. With this on hand, we didn't even have a problem. First flare up - with 5 gallons of grease at nearly 400F - and this extinguisher had the fire out fast. Third use - toaster oven caught fire in the kitchen. This was an indoor fire, beneath the cabinets, and that's scary. You have to act fast to prevent something like this spreading. Once again, the Fire Gone knocked it out in one blast. These are small - about 1lb of stuff inside - but for small fires I've never had better. Buy several for every room. We keep two in the kitchen, one in the basement, and one in the garage. We've larger units (Kiddie ABC stuff in the 5-10lb range) around the house, but this is the first grab every time. There's NO mess to clean up (wipe with paper towel and you're done) and they're disposable. Put the fire out, wipe up with a paper towel, and get back to cooking/camping. At this price point, it's too good to be true. We still have three around and will buy more.
