The scoop is about 1/3 bigger than the last order I received! Has the formula changed or the scoop? It's the same diameter but higher/deeper now.

Same here with my last order. I haven't bothered to weigh most powders with scoops with my tiny scale for milligrams before. I usually use a scale for grams. But, weighing with my scale for milligrams to answer this question, my first try came up with 1.988 grams for this new style scoop. A nice 2-gram measure for this taurine.

Some other taurine powders have warning for lead content. Is this product lead free?

There is no warning on the label referring to any lead in the product.

I hope not. I use it as a substitute for heart muscle in pet food ( they are not vegan, they are carnivores).
