Aceptable

Nice clear picture with guide lines
My son installed this in my 2013 Ford Edge with the help of a youtube video and it took him about an hour or so from start to finish. I did notice a couple of differences between this camera and the OEM camera. This camera has a zoomed in picture in which I can see my license plate. After reading some reviews it is due to a flat lens rather than a convex lens like the OEM. This camera does have guide lines but it doesn't have the guide blocks like the OEM. Other than those 2 small things, it's a great deal for the price. . so I can live with it. It saved me from going to the dealership and spending hundreds of dollars. This was under $70, woohoo I'm happy with it!

You can fix your Ford Edge backup camera yourself!
I have a 2014 Ford Edge. My backup camera started malfunctioning, sometimes coming on like normal and other times giving me a blank screen and a message like "Reverse camera is not available. Contact your dealer." I tried toggling the camera controls in the settings screen and disconnecting/reconnecting the car battery as suggested online. No luck. I removed the inside trim panel covering the tailgate and looked for loose plugs. Nothing obvious. My reverse lights were working fine, so I knew it was not a problem with a reverse position switch. There are plenty of "how-to" videos online describing how to change the camera yourself with a few basic tools and some beginner/intermediate mechanical experience. This camera seemed like a good one to order. It got here in two days and in about an hour, I had a perfectly working camera again. My camera was indeed the problem. This camera provides crystal clear images and added the feature where the lines curve as you steer to indicate a backup path. Replaces OEM camera perfectly. Highly recommended. I saved a few hundred dollars not taking it to the dealer! Give it a try. You just need a Phillips screwdriver, a small pry bar (and maybe a little muscle) for the plastic panel snaps, Vise Grips to remove a few headless fasteners, and a star screwdriver. Easy to find "how-to" videos online. Good luck!

So far so good.
After many months with a backup camera that worked intermittently, I finally installed this camera in a 2013 Ford Edge Limited. I had tired just about everything else before replacing it - from resetting the car's computer, inspecting the electrical connecters, to tracing the grounding wire. The new camera seems to have a wider field of view than the OEM and appears to have a higher definition. Another bonus - the backup assist lines now move showing which way the car is turning as it is backing up.
