eT650D Temperature Gun by ennoLogic with NIST Certificate - Dual Laser Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer -58°F to 1202°F - Accurate Digital Surface IR Thermometer (Not for Body Temp)

At work we were planning a plant trial for Monday and on Friday I realized that our old IR Temp Gun was broken. I needed a NIST certified IR thermometer by Monday and this one came up on my feed. It says it would be delivered the next day with the certification and I was skeptical. Lo and behold it did arrive the next day with the certification. This IR thermometer does exactly as it says. It is very lightweight and has all the standard features needed and the fact it came with a NIST certification was a life savor. The price is great too and something I would very much consider purchasing in the future. Also it came with the battery which was a huge plus.

I love this thermometer. If you want a certified thermometer, be sure to select the NIST calibrated one. It comes with a certificate that is good for a year. Don't complain that you did not get a certificate because you need to select that. It is a bit more expensive, however, if you want a serious big boy thermometer it is worth it. I'm saying that because I bought a toy one here and returned it. This is the real deal and worth every penny. I use it for everything from cooking, refrigeration, HVAC, computer cooling systems, and whatever you can think of that requires a thermometer. Also, don't complain about the lasers being misaligned. They are supposed to converge at a set distance and that's where you need to be to get the most accurate reading. If you need a solid, reliably accurate infrared thermometer this one is the one to get.

This product has a lot of great features. It reads temps well but as noted you have to be about 8" from the item which at times is difficult in my environment. I like it that it is compact, LCD is easy to read. Still figuring out how to read temps on stainless but that will work out. Two items I don't like. 1) is the 9 volt battery. I have found after you change a few of these that the connector becomes susceptible to breaking. 2) the cover for the battery (on the trigger side of the handle) will not stay closed. Not sure how to fix that one. Over all a good buy for the price, good capabilities without breaking the bank.

Needed certified thermometers for work. Was pleasantly surprised when the units arrived and the certificates were from end of March 2022..I was worried they were going to be almost expired. Units are a good weight..didn’t seem cheap and flimsy. So far have worked as expected.

This product works well. I needed it for a temperature test and it works just like more expensive versions.
