Gutermann Quilting Thread 220yd, Black

Strong, durable, unlikely to twist. My preferred thread for hand-quilting.

It is ideal for a quilting project I am undertaking. I could not find the thread locally so very happy with my purchase.

I realy like this thread for quilting! It’s s good quality thread.

I use mostly Gutermann & Mettler threads for several reasons:- Produces far less lint than many other thread brands (especially Coats & Clark)- This cotton quilting thread is smooth, and does not twist and curl when hand-sewing as I have experienced with others.- Does not have much breakage as I have experienced with other brands.- Wax finish helps thread to glide smoothly through layers of fabric & quilt batting more easier than other brands I have experienced.- Nice 40wt, slightly heavier/thicker than the average 50wt cotton thread from Gutermann.Really love using this thread when I do hand quilting (which is often).

Gutermann is the best quilting thread. I've made many quilts, I've always used Gutermann thread. My grandmother and my mother and I use this brand of thread.
