Wow it's bright!
Haven't mounted it yet but it seems great so far. Solidly built. Buttons function well with nice tactile feedback. The strobe feature is not super intuitive. It takes kind of a slow double click but it works great. Will definitely blind/ disorient anything with eyes. The one thing I've found as far as fit, finish and function goes is that the cam in the quick release lever isn't super smooth. Maybe me being nit picky, but at this price point I can't complain at all. Haven't compared it side by side with other companies' offerings, but for almost 3 times the price only catastrophic failure would make me look elsewhere if I want another one. There are other less expensive options with magnetic charging as well but I like the waterproof feature and I think it's a fair tradeoff.Came with an apparent full charge. Not for everyday use but great if one does need it. All in all I chose this over more expensive options as my first weapon light and a little testing will tell if I will be putting another one in my cart and on another pistol.Update: Took it out to the range and put 50 rounds through my 9mm with it mounted up. Still lights up and didn't fall off. I call that a win. Next I'll try it on my .45.Second update: It holds up fine to 45 ACP. The cam has worn in some and it operates more smoothly. There are many little pieces to lock it in place but I can't find one that fits a Glock 17 without pushing it way out toward the muzzle. Makes actuating the buttons a bit of a stretch. It fits my XD perfectly so it will stay on that pistol. Holds a charge well. Still really like it

Extremely Happy
Its awesome. It's made out of aluminum and seems to be extremely durable, the design is small and will work on alot of firearms you could also use it on a rifle if you need some versatility. It's extremely easy to use with two paddles for controls and the light is BRIGHT It's also extremely light I will definitely be purchasing another.

Bright light. Quick and Easy, No Tools Attach and Remove
I bought an OLight PL MIni2 Valkyrie for a P365, and was pleased with it. You do need to add a picatinny rail to your P365 to attach it, but I'd already added a rail for a Mantis X. So I wanted something reasonably bright, that allowed quick, no-tools easy attach and removal for a micro or compact pistol. It worked great, so I bought a second one for a P320 compact, which already has a rail. Out of the box, the second one didn't work. The on-off wouldn't budge. Then I discovered in reviews that this is a fairly common problem, so I looked for an alternative. I'm in a no-laser state, so it was a bit difficult to find something that had quick and easy no-tools installation and removal with a bright light, no laser and the right size for a smaller gun. Then I came across this trica 800. Specs looked good and it met all my needs. Easy to attach out of the box. Works great. Side by side comparison with the OLight: I found that it's just about as bright as the OLight, though spread of the light is not quite as good. But it's close. The best part is that the trica is less than half the price of the OLight. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Pretty bright and good throw
For a budget gun light it's pretty good. I bought it for my son for his plinking M&P .22 to get him use to using Streamlight & other real quality lights and was surprised at the nice focused throw and peripheral lighting. Has great distance to it but still lights up your surroundings too. Pretty impressive for a lesser brand name. I'll have to see how it holds up to larger calibers and if I can set up a pressure switch for his rifles. Haven't torture tested it yet but that wasn't/isn't the intent to begin with as it's just to use for plinking in low light and to teach him how and when to use tactical lights until I get him his permanent set up but I might torture test it and update my review as it seams like it could be a viable poverty build option for somebody just getting started or needs to keep the budget low. Better to use a very good cheap light than skimp on quality internal parts just so you can afford to buy a more expensive name brand light just because it's what people will see. Great option in my opinion if you have to save up for a Tlr and doesn't get hot like sOme Other pOpular but lower quality lights known to hand grenade in people's hands , pockets and on their guns.

Front Sight Lights Up Like A Christmas Tree
I have two of these and I have one mounted underneath on a stock Glock 17 and the other on top of a Keltec Sub2000 with AR15 style front sight. Firstly, they're so small and the weight is unnoticeable on both firearms. On the G17 I like to put my off-hand forefinger between this light and the front of the trigger guard and I was able to get full finger clearance by positioning the front of the light to line up with the end of the barrel. The Trica stays in place perfectly well even though it's not in the G17 slotted groove. On the S2K top rail with the light turned on the front sight is an intense white through the stock peep hole. I love it and I can see my red dot with no issue. So, I have no complaints. The fit and finish is of the Trica is great. It's bright. The strobe is easy, quick, and perfectly functional. The switches are simple and within easy reach with either hand. Highly recommended.

Great light for the price
I bought this light as a lower cost temporary solution until I could purchase the more popular and more expensive Surefire X300T, Holosun PID, or Streamlight. I was pleasantly surprised at the battery life, and the intensity of the beam. It works very well and the controls are relatively easy to reach and operate when pressed out.I really like how compact it is. I will be purchasing a holster for this competition set up, so I will later do a review and let you know how it fits in competition holsters.
