24024 Low Strength Threadlocker Purple, 6 ml Tube

This stuff works great. I use it a lot. It works better than the vibratite brands version and costs less than the loctite brand version. Been using it for years. It’s replaced blue loctite for most things for me. Absolutely worth the money.

Great for keeping those pesky tiny knife screws in place. I purchased these to keep the pivot screws from coming loose on my various folding knives from constant use, and so far, it has kept them from doing so for quite a few months. just apply to the threads of the screw, then put the screw in and adjust to the tension you want. let it sit overnight to set and you are golden. No more loosening pivot screws from hard use. The added benefit is that since this is low strength, if you want to pull apart your knife for a cleaning or maintenance, its quite easy to undo with a screwdriver without stripping the screw head. The strength is more than enough to keep the vibrations of opening and closing from backing out the screws.

does exactly as intended. Good price point. Helps keep sub 1/4 in threaded metal fasteners from loosening up and backing out. Used on a pocket knife that kept having a small screw loosening. Recommend.

I was unaware of this level 'purple', so when I looked at a different version and noticed the back I noticed this version. It is perfect for what I need. I'm knocking it down one star because, like the other versions, is ridiculously thin which makes it hard to control and not get everywhere.

This is one of those things that you just have to have when you need it. I got this because it was actually cheaper than the locktite brand and from what I can see, breaks at around the same strength as the low strength locktite which is what I needed. Cap is resealable so you can keep the material sealed up until the next time you need it. Honestly you use so little of it at a time I don't know how many screws I'll go through to use this up. Probably end up losing it before I finish using all of it.

I was looking for something not quite as strong as Blue Loctite 242 to hold thumbscrews in place on a couple optics that would loosen at the range. 242 is a bit strong, especially on really small screws. I found this purple to be excellent for anti-vibration on screws smaller than 1/2in causing them to behave much like the very thick thread compound Magpul places on their included hardware. Removing the screw only requires mild force compared to 242. Ive always been worried with 242 on smaller screws with the removal force, worrying it was going to damage the screws. I found this to be a nice anti-vibration level of thread locker.

The weak strength one is good for adding more friction to threads that can loosen by themselves. You may need to apply, wait a day or two and then apply again.
