I had one of these in the past, but it disappeared. I re-purchased, as I was tired of spending time cutting pineapples and taking care of cut out the "eyes" so my mouth avoided them. This item is SLICK and works like a charm. (If you're not sure how it works, look at the little instruction illustration that comes with it.) Couldn't be easier. The first time I used my newest one, I remembered that when buying a large pineapple, you'll wind up wasting a fair more of the fruit than when you buy a medium or smaller pineapple. (The larger you purchase, the more "waste" winds up left with the throw-away portion, as it's "one size fits all" in terms of what it cuts from your piece of fruit. (Always cutting the exact same size, so if you have a large pineapple, and it cuts based on a smaller diameter, it leaves good fruit to throw away, as it remains doesn't adjust for different sizes. You CAN simply use a knife, and cut into the portion that's good and remains when you're done with the device, but it kind of defeats the purpose. I had about 1/2 inch of fruit that remained, which was kind of a waste, given the cost per pineapple.) Nonetheless, I'm still glad I bought it. It takes no time to screw the device into the top of the fruit, keep twisting as it cuts through to the bottom, and then you pull it out, and you've got a core of a continuous "connected" ring of pineapple. It's built to last, and if mine doesn't disappear again, it should last forever. (Just remember not to buy the largest pineapple in the store. Go for one that's medium size, and you'll know what I mean, the first time you use it.)

I hosted a tiki night and wanted to hollow out pineapples for drinks. Super fun presentation and I wanted to core the pineapples myself. So I bought this and wow was I surprised. It was so so easy to get through the pineapples and make rings or just core them. The blade is sharp, it did not take much effort to get it started. Removed one star because my handle is pretty loose when clicked into place which doesn’t feel super secure.

This is a very good tool! It is slick and does the job like a pro. This tool for pineapples makes you want to make your own pineapple upside down cake or a vessel for a delicious fruity tiki drink. This tool is sharp clean and precise and will do the job you want it to do which is to clean out a pineapple sharp and precise!

I’m so happy I found this Pineapple Corer! I can’t believe it works so well! I’d been using a knife to cut pineapple and just missed cutting my finger one day. Then I found this pineapple corer. I’m thrilled how easy it is to use! Now I can buy a pineapple and not worry about using a big knife to cut it. Genius!
