OXO Good Grips Wide Butter & Cream Cheese Dish

Finding the perfect butter dish is tricky! This one easily holds two sticks of butter and the ledge allows slicing a pat of butter very easily and clean. Additionally, it has rubber grips on the bottom so it doesn't slide around in the fridge or on the counter top etc. Top is a full view cover and is completely removable for easy access. Now, I do feel this one is a bit pricey, and I did hesitate and just wasn't sure it was worth the extra cost....but I am so happy I finally decided to buy it! If you are shopping for a very well made and nice looking butter dish with all the extras....this is the one! I should know.... I had looked for one for a very long time and this one should last many, many years!

The dish is fine. It is relatively cheap but sturdy plastic, exactly what you expect. One reason I bought this for two sticks, that I wanted to use it when living in Europe (where butter comes in a shape of two sticks next to each other), but it didn't fit that.

I had already had several different single stick butter dishes and I was not happy with any of them. I purchased the single stick size and was happy with it, so when I needed the larger size I knew what brand to pick. Well made, easy to clean and lightweight. Very durable with heavy use. A little more expensive but worth it.

Nice and simple but an exquisite solution to store butter on the countertop. There is plenty of room to fit Kerrygold or Kirkland Grass Fed Butter, I tried both and was very pleased. The top seals well and keeps the butter fresh and is easy to use and clean. This is an outstanding value for this product.

Love this butter dish- I use European style butter (kerry gold, etc), which comes in blocks the size of cream cheese. This butter dish is also good for two regular eastern butter sticks (long), so its great for people who use a lot of butter like in a larger family, etc. Its lightweight and doesn't break easily, unlike ceramic butter keepers (helpful for accidental slips of grip), and the grippy footing on the bottom keeps it from shifting accidentally when in use. The lid is light weight and easy to remove or put back on- the little ledge keeps it in place when on. It does not clip on in any way, so you can't tip the dish all the way over and expect it to stay. I really like that it is a clear lid so I can see how much butter is left. I'm a very tidy person, so I don't get butter on the lid at all or even all over the dish- I have a friend with the same dish and 3 kids and somehow they seem incapable of not getting butter on the lid every day (not sure how- it drives my friend crazy).

I got the larger/wide size. I was looking for a double-wide butter dish that I could cut right on and therefore wouldn’t slip on the counter while I cut. I thought the tablespoon markings were a great idea too. I was happy when I saw they made one for european size butter. But I was disappointed to find the measurements are missing from the large/wide size. What a miss! Still, I’m glad I got it. The rubber bottom makes a difference and I’m impressed by the ledge around the dish. The lid never touches the butter and it keeps the butter in place when cutting. I like having a little extra room too for the random leftover tablespoon or two.

Sehr schöne Butterdose, gut und hochwertig verarbeitet. Die Größe ist ungewöhnlich - sie ist relativ lang und hoch, evtl. für amerikanische Butterstücke gemacht. Ich finde sie aufgrund der guten Verarbeitung sehr empfehlenswert.

I have a feeling the other reviewers bought a different model which does not fit UK and EU butter (and is probably mislabeled). The one I bought fits them just fine, even the thick ones and the long french ones (and if they're too long, nothing wrong with cutting them in half). The model number of the one I bought was B01MRHR860. Assuming it fits, it's the best butter dish I used. The lid doesn't move about, you can see what's in it, it has a rubber base, good quality plastics, doesn't keep smells, washes easily, nice surface for scraping bits of butter off, and a little indent to stop the butter moving around. It's a bit pricey, but you can still pay a lot more for a butter dish (albeit better looking). Very much on the practical side, it gets everything right.

The design and construction of this butter dish seems good in general, but it isn't what I hoped for. A 500g chunk of butter that I bought at the store fits on the base of the butter dish, but the lid isn't tall enough; even if I press it down so that it's touching the butter, it doesn't touch down onto the base as it should (the lid is still about 1 cm or so above the base, so the butter is exposed to air). I don't really like it touching the top of the butter either. I'm disappointed because I really wanted a dish that would accommodate a 500g piece of butter easily.

C’est un très bon produit. Il n’accroche pas le beurre, un beurre de 250 g. Rentre parfaitement très satisfait de mon achat.
