This is a well-made "slim" leather wallet. This has a great leather smell and it is well tanned with no obvious defects. My son loves it. He does not like thick wallets and he thought because it was leather it was going to be bulky and this one surprised him

This says it is full grain leather, and it does appear to be so, although I cannot be positive that it is. It did not have any strange smells. The inside is really nicely done, with good stitching and a nice pocket. You cannot keep much change in it though, the pocket is small. I do NOT like the stamped gold logo on the front, it cheapens the look. If they had to put on a logo it should be inside. More on leather qualities. Leather comes in different qualities, and the names are hard to remember and grading leather is not straightforward because it also depends on the manufacturer, but as a rule of thumb you can use the definitions below. . The lowest quality is “genuine leather” that just means it is made out of leather bonded together. Next is top grain leather, its made by splitting full grain leather and sanding away imperfections. Best quality is full grain leather, this is the sort that is made from the whole hide, it often has imperfections but ages really well, full grain is the kind that gets better with age. Avoid things like “bonded leather” which is scraps glued together.

There usually are three different levels of leather stamped on the product: genuine leather, top-grain leather and full-grain leather, where the genuine leather is made of real leather but has the lowest quality, however, full-grain leather is the best. And this wallet is using full-grain leather such that it is quite smooth and flawless. I only use it for a couple of days such that it's hard to say if it can last life-long, but it feels sturdy.

This is a basic and practical wallet. You get an area for your cash and slots for some cards. As a bonus there’s a small zipper compartment for some coins. Call me old fashioned but I do like having a spot to put some change. The wallet looks nice and it’s quite thin.
